EASTER WEDNESDAY - 2024

DAILY HOLY MASS READINGS

This day was made by the Lord:
we rejoice and are glad. PS 117:24

ACTS 3:1-10 ©

My Soul's Beloved,

There is nothing so powerful as the power of intercession, of bringing our loved ones to You if not physically then we bring them to You in our hearts. Today we read of the man crippled from birth who was being carried to the Temple and put down near the entrance daily so he could beg for alms.

There are many in our own families, among our relatives and friends as well as in the whole world who are crippled and who seek healing but not from You, they hope that some passerby may drop some crumbs into their hands. They do not enter the Temple where the Source of all healing and grace is present but remain outside. But You can meet us wherever we may be in our spiritual life. You know what we need and You will send people to minister to us just as You sent Peter and John to the cripple outside the Temple.

Beloved, often there is nothing we can do except bring those in desperate need of You, to You in prayer. We can be confident that You hear, You see, Your heart will be moved and You will act to heal, bless, restore, and grant the miracle of new life because You desire to give all these blessings even more passionately than we can ask.

In Your mighty Name O Lord, we ask the Father in the power of the Holy Spirit to grant us and those nearest and dearest to us, as well as the whole world the gift of a true conversion of heart, mind, and spirit so we in turn like Peter and John may bring Your love to a wounded, hurting world.
