2 Samuel 7:1-5, 8b-12, 14a, 16, Psalm 89:2-5, 27 & 29, Luke 1:67-79

DAILY HOLY MASS READINGS:

My Beloved David was chosen by God to be a great king.  He was just a shepherd boy looking after his father’s sheep and guarded and protected them from wild animals at the of his own life.  He was a  generous and courageous young man who had a great love for God and he was a foreshadow of the King of Kings whom God has chosen and appointed to rule over all nations.  King David wanted to build a dwelling place fit for you but it was his son Solomon who would be entrusted with this work.

Your first dwelling place on earth was the womb of Mary.  The Arc of the Covenant in the Old Testament was adorned and made according to specifications given by God Himself.  The New Arc of the Covenant was adorned and fashioned by the Father and the Holy Spirit in order that it would be a dwelling fit for the King and Lord of all creation.

Beloved at every Eucharist I too become the arc of the covenant.  Adorn my soul with rich graces so that at each Eucharist I may image and reflect You more and more each day.

Thank You Father for the Covenant You formed with the people of Israel.  Thank You for Mary whom You fashioned as no creature has been or will ever be.  She was singularly blessed and chosen to the Mother of our Savior.  Thank You for the new covenant that Jesus has made with those who believe that You so loved the world that You sent  Your son into the world to be the means by which all who receive Him will be saved.

My Beloved, St. John the Baptist too was chosen by God to point the way back to the Kingdom.  He knew what his mission was and he was faithful to it.  He stole none of the gory but prepared the way for You whom he knew was greater that he was.  He acknowledged in great humility that he was unfit to loosen the thongs from Your sandals.  It was given to his Zachariah also to know the purpose for which his son was created as the canticle of prophecy and praise that he sang once his speech was restored.

STAY WITH ME LORD!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Micah 5:1-41, Hebrews 10:5-10, Psalm 80:2-4, 15-16, 18-19, Luke 1:39-45

DAILY HOLY MASS READINGS:

My Beloved, the world is in dire need of peace.  Peace in our hearts, homes, neighborhoods and among nations.  Oh Prince of Peace You alone can bring peace and give peace.  Hear our prayers this Christmas and may peace reign once more in Your world.

My Beloved, every time we received You in the Holy Eucharist, at every worthy reception of Your Body, Soul and Divinity, we are transformed into You.  We are made one with You.  We are sanctified in You.

Thank You Father for the awesome Gift of Your Son to us in the Holy Eucharist.  Thank You Beloved for saying yes to the incarnation and obeying the will of Your Father

My Beloved we receive every good and perfect gift from You.  Keep me for Yourself.  Protect me and keep me safe from evil and terror.  Preserve me and may I do nothing to displease You and make You turn away from me.  Lord keep me safe in Your Most Holy Name, the Name that saves.

Mama dearest, Mother of God, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, enter our home as You entered the home of Elizabeth.  Bring Jesus with You and bless and sanctify our everyday life with Your gracious presence and the Holy Presence of Jesus.  Assist us as you assisted Elizabeth and help us, your poor children who have recourse to you the Mother of God and Mother of all creation.

1 Samuel 1:24-28, 1 Samuel 2:1, 4-8, Luke 1:46-56

DAILY HOLY MASS READINGS:

VERSE 28 We must honor the promises we make to God once He gives us our heart’s desire however any vows we make must be in keeping with His will.

Hannah’s hymn of praise and exultation will be sung again when Mary herself would make this song or praise more completely her won.  It is a hymn of praise that will be sung until the second coming of Her Son, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Mary understood perfectly that a singular honor that was given to her when God chose her to be the Mother of His Son.  It was all His doing.  She is privileged and most highly favored by God  and must be honored and revered.   As the Holy Mother of God she collaborated with Him to give Him to give His Son a Body however she was the dwelling place of God long before she conceived and bore Him in her womb.

Song of Songs 2:8-14, Psalm 33:2-3, 20-21, Luke 1:39-45

Daily Holy Mass Readings:

My God, my Love, my Beloved, my All, You constantly woo me.  You follow me.  You call me, You stand behind the barriers and walls of sin that I erect between us and You speak to me. You look for ways to penetrate through the hardness of my heart and You speak to me words of infinite tenderness and encouragement. You let me experience the constancy of Your abiding love.  When I permit You to enter, my own true God, my Life, You captivate me as You draw me into the ecstasy of knowing You and responding to Your love.

The days of sadness, bitterness and darkness are at an end once I give myself over to You.  The world is beautiful again seen through the eyes of the love of the Creator, the Word, through which everything came to be.  In You there is gladness, joy, mirth, delight, laughter, smiles, kindness, gentleness, singing an dancing and sometimes happy tears because You love so extravagantly.  In my response to such a grand love I begin  to flourish, blossom, flower and bear fruit which is eternal, fresh and new.

Now that I have responded whole heartedly to Your invitation to belong completely to You alone, You take me by the hand, Your Spirit unites with mine, Your heart engulfs mine and they beat as one in the most beautiful of unions in Holy Communion.  In that secret place hidden from the view of the world, You tell me how much You delight in me and my love for You.  You encourage me and You make the sweetest, most tender promises that You will remain with me always.

Thank You my Beloved, my Lord and my God.

May my life be a constant hymn of praise to You.  Awake or asleep may I rejoice in Your goodness and mercy.  You are faithful in all You do and You can be trusted to be true to every one of Your promises.  Those who belong to You, Your inheritance; are truly blessed.

The Lord Is our hope, our help, our shield and our deliverer.  Our God can be trusted always.  In a world that is fickle and faithless, God alone is our Rock.  In Him we stand firm forever.

Mama dearest thank you for being my faithful Mama ever since I was thirteen and lost my own mother.  I remember where I was when I made that impassioned plea to you to be my mother since God had taken mine to Himself and you have been true.  How often I would have lost my immortal soul had you not interceded for me with your Son.

You have always come in haste along with Jesus whenever I called and even when I didn’t.  You enfolded me in your mantle and pressed me close to your heart when I needed comfort.  You wiped away my tears and you revealed your Son to me.  You are most blessed among all women most highly favored Mother full of grace.  I echo Elizabeth’s greeting.  The Mother of my Lord has always come to me as she does to all her children.  Thank you for believing and thank you for saying Yes to God.
