This day was made by the Lord:
we rejoice and are glad. PS 117:24
ACTS 2:36-41 ©
My Soul's Beloved,
On the day of Pentecost, 3000 people heard the Good News of salvation. They heard, believed, repented, received the gift of the Holy Spirit, and were baptized. This Easter Vigil across the globe many catechumens have been baptized, confirmed, and become members of the one holy, catholic, and apostolic Church. We look at the chaos reigning across continents and it appears that Satan has dominion over the earth but that is a great lie propagated by the Father of Lies. The truth is that You, O Lord, our Good Shepherd who has redeemed the whole world, continue to seek and save the lost.
Easter is the season of rejoicing and hope. God went into the deepest, darkest depths of our human degradation, sin, grief, sadness, and loss and God has redeemed the world and every aspect of our lives. You, O Lord, have washed us clean, given us radiant new garments, and filled us with joy and hope. Having regained our inheritance by Your passion, death, and glorious resurrection into heaven, You make it possible for us, the children of God, to return home.
Keep us safe O Lord in Your love until You return in glory.
Come, Lord Jesus!, Come
