The sheep that belong to me listen to my voice,
says the Lord,
I know them and they follow me. JN 10:27

My Soul's Beloved,
If I am sitting in judgment on anyone I better make sure I am without reproach or else I will bring about Your judgment on myself. If my hands and my heart are filthy I have no business in placing myself on Your Judgement Seat and condemning anyone. You will be pitiless and merciless with me if I do.
I am a sinner in need of repentance and because I have sinned and I am weak and easily tempted I ought to have greater understanding and pity for those, who like myself, fall several times a day.
You remind me today to be busy about doing good and to leave all else to You for in the measure that I give I will receive. Grant me the graces I need Lord to live a life that is always pleasing to You. Help me to keep my own failings before me and it will keep me from focusing on the frailties of others.
PSALM 62:2-3,6-7,9 ©
My Soul's Beloved,
The psalmist reminds me today that if I make my home in You, if I find my rest in You, if I rely on Your help always, if I run to You for shelter no harm will come to me, evil cannot touch me, for I make my home in You, my God, who are my rock.
Grant me this grace today, Beloved, to never leave my place of shelter and refuge in Your Sacred Heart. It is a place that is all my own because You have allotted it to me. Lord, You know how much I need You and all the graces You make available to me, without Your help I will be lost forever. Stay with me Lord, until I breathe my last breath on earth.

My Soul's Beloved,
My Soul's Beloved,
All too often our scrupolosity in doing the inconsequential things borders on the ridiculous because we neglect to do what is really important in Your sight. We are foolish if we believe that You care about us following the letter of the law to the last detail while we forget the spirit of the law, which is to love God above and before all else and to love our neighbor as ourselves.
St. Peter tells us that love covers a multitude of sins. He ought to know - he denied You not once but three times but his triple confession of love made it possible for You to entrust him with the highest office in the Church that You founded. As Your Vicar on earth, he is the visible Christ, Your anointed. When we see Peter we see You.
How easily and readily we fall for the adulation of the world which is as permanent as the morning mist. If we keep in mind always how brief our time on earth is, we will better prepare ourselves for the life to come which is eternal. While we still live let us help to carry each others burdens and do all we can to lighten another's heavy load. If we show mercy to others You will show mercy to us.
