DAILY HOLY MASS READINGS

I am the Way, the Truth and the Life, says the Lord;
No one can come to the Father except through me. JN 14:6

My Soul's Beloved,

We have a tendency to hedge God in, to make You our exclusive property, to limit You to only a few, to put barriers around You, and to declare arbitrarily who has access to You. How exceedingly foolish we are and how woefully ignorant of God who is love and who desires that all should come to the knowledge of Truth and be saved.

God gave His law through Moses to the people He chose from among all the nations but God has always been accessible to all who desire to know Him and especially in the present age when He sent You into the world to redeem it by praying the price the evil and death demanded in exchange for life - the Life of the Son of God made Man. All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God and anyone who claims otherwise is a liar, but the Blood of the Lamb is our justification before God, our Father, all who come before Him in faith, bathed in the Blood of the Lamb, are saved. Justice had to be served, the penalty had to be paid but we had no means of making good the debt that righteousness demanded.

St. Paul reminds us that it was God's free gift of grace that has redeemed us in You, the Christ, His Son. You alone could make atonement for the sins of the whole world and so the Father asked You to lay down Your life in order that we might live. Every sin from the first original sin, to the last one that will be committed, is paid for by the Blood of the Lamb. The justice of our just God is satisfied and salvation is freely available to all who believe in You no matter by which name they Him since, as St. Paul tells us, there is only one God.
