DAILY HOLY MASS READINGS

Thursday of the Seventh Week of Easter

May they all be one as you, Father, are in me and I in you,
that the world may believe that you sent me, says the Lord.

Acts 22:30; 23:6-11, Psalm 16:1-2A, 5, 7-11,
John 17:20-26

Acts 22:30; 23:6-11

My Love, Beloved of my soul,

Like Paul, we can always trust You to give us the words we need to refute when we are required to do so. You have poured Your Holy Spirit into us who is the power of God and the Wisdom of God.

You are with us always. We are never abandoned by You nor are we alone. You who give us courage when we battle with evil. With You we are victorious.

Psalm 16:1-2A, 5, 7-11

My Love, Beloved of my soul,

Thank You for the consoling words of the Psalm. Thank You for Your assurance that I can take refuge in Your Sacred Heart and find a home in it.

Thank You for being with me always. Thank You for a life of grace that You make available to me through the Sacraments.

Thank You for the song of praise in my heart and for the joy that You alone give.

Thank You for Your assurance that where You are someday I too will be.

Thank You for the Holy Spirit as my Helper who leads me daily from moment to moment from this life to the life to come in the Kingdom of God.

Keep me, O God, for in you I take refuge;
I say to the LORD, "My Lord are you."
O LORD, my allotted portion and my cup,
you it is who hold fast my lot.

I bless the LORD who counsels me;
even in the night my heart exhorts me.
I set the LORD ever before me;
with him at my right hand I shall not be disturbed.

Therefore my heart is glad and my soul rejoices,
my body, too, abides in confidence;
Because you will not abandon my soul to the nether world,
nor will you suffer your faithful one to undergo corruption.

You will show me the path to life,
fullness of joys in your presence,
the delights at your right hand forever.

John 17:20-26

My Love, Beloved of my soul,

Thank You for the beautiful, all-encompassing prayer that You prayed to the Father before You left us. Thank You that I am included in this prayer. Thank You for keeping me in You and in doing so making me one with the Father as well. Thank You for the beautiful unity of the Church You founded and which will flourish until You return.

Continue to protect the Church and me from the world, the flesh, and the devil. I am Yours, Beloved, Yours I wish to be eternally.

Lifting up his eyes to heaven, Jesus prayed saying:
"I pray not only for these,
but also for those who will believe in me through their word,
so that they may all be one,
as you, Father, are in me and I in you,
that they also may be in us,
that the world may believe that you sent me.
And I have given them the glory you gave me,
so that they may be one, as we are one,
I in them and you in me,
that they may be brought to perfection as one,
that the world may know that you sent me,
and that you loved them even as you loved me.
Father, they are your gift to me.
I wish that where I am they also may be with me,
that they may see my glory that you gave me,
because you loved me before the foundation of the world.
Righteous Father, the world also does not know you,
but I know you, and they know that you sent me.
I made known to them your name and I will make it known,
that the love with which you loved me
may be in them and I in them."
