DAILY HOLY MASS READINGS
If then you were raised with Christ,
seek what is above,
where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Col 3:1
Acts 19:1-8, Psalm 68:2-7, John 16:29-33
Acts 19:1-8
My Love, Beloved of my soul,
Like Paul and the other Apostles, we have to be ready to engage with people we encounter daily and witness to them boldly. We are called to preach the Good News of our salvation by our words, our attitude, and our willingness to serve.
Each one of us will meet people whose lives we could touch and transform but we walk past them blindly too consumed by our own narrow vision and lives.
Lord Jesus, grant me a full measure of Your Holy Spirit that my own life and the lives of those around me may be transformed through the power of the Spirit in me. Amen.
Psalm 68:2-3AB, 4-5ACD, 6-7AB
My Love, Beloved of my soul,
When we have You for us we need fear no one who stands against us. We have the Lord of lords, and the King of kings whose victory and triumph are ours.
You scatter the enemies who band together against us. Our hearts are filled with songs of thanksgiving and praise because You are our Savior and Redeemer.
We thank You for the power of Your Name which is above every other name. Thank You for gathering us up into Your Sacred Heart and making it a place of rest.
John 16:29-33
My Love, Beloved of my soul,
Oftentimes like the disciples, we believe that we understand the things of heaven. We think that because of what we know of You we will be able to withstand the dangers that threaten us constantly because of our faith in You. However, at the first sign of persecution, we flee just as the disciples did.
It is not enough to say Lord, Lord, when we pray but to live the Good News by making it a way of life. If we are one with You Beloved, we too are never alone for we have the Father and the Spirit living in us as well and the peace which passes understanding, is ours, no matter what difficulties we may have to face. Thank You for this wonderful assurance that we can face every situation with courage because You have conquered the world.
