Genesis 2:4b-9, 15-17
My Love, Beloved of my soul,

I was formed from the dust of the earth and someday it will return to the earth and become dust, but the breath that You breathed into me is the Breath of Life, it is the Breath of the Holy Spirit and this Breath is eternal. When I shall cease to be, this Breath will return to You and You will judge where my eternal soul shall be sent. I will either spend eternity with You or separated from You. The choice is wholly mine.

The gift of free will is the greatest of gifts that God in His wisdom has given us. With it we make our choices and God does not coerce us in any way. We are free to choose life or death, good or evil, wisdom or folly.

Beloved, the Father has given me all I need to choose life over death just as He gave the garden in Eden to the first man. God who is Love desires that I choose Love over and above all else first in my relationship with Him and then with my neighbor. God knows that because I am weak and in the flesh I shall stumble and fall. Seeing my need of a Savior He sent You into the world to become the means by which I can always reach for You when I fail. Thank You Lord for Your saving love.

Psalm 104:1-2A, 27-28, 29BC-30
My Love, Beloved of my soul,

May I bless You with every breath I breathe for as long as I live for You are my Lord and my God and I love You, I adore You, I worship You. You are the King of Kings, the Lord of Lord, You are the Ruler of the Universe. You are raised high above the heavens and all that lives gives You praise, honor, and glory. Your majesty fills the heavens and the earth and all that lives prostrates before You.

It is You, O Lord, our God, and Creator who sustains the world. You feed us with heavenly manna so we can live. You have given us Your Holy Spirit and we have the Breath of Life. For as long as the Spirit lives, moves, and breathes in me, Beloved, grant that I may always keep my gaze fixed on You and I shall never perish.

Mark 7:14-23
My Love, Beloved of my soul,
You remind us today that nothing we eat or drink can defile us for it does not enter into our heart or spirit. But what comes out of us is what is within us, in our heart and mind that spill out either in good works, good words and good actions or evil. For from the fullness of our inner being comes good or evil. Keep me as the apple of Your eye and fill me with Your Holy Spirit so I will never have room for evil in me.
