Genesis 1:1-19

My Love, Beloved of my soul,

In the beginning, whenever that beginning was we do not know, but God in His great wisdom and love decided to create a beautiful world and to give it as a gift to the first man and woman. God in His infinite goodness and generosity created us so we could love Him and know the joy of knowing and loving Him and to have a share in all that is His. So God, from the depths of His Inner Being uttered the Word, the Eternal Word that was with Him, and in Him from eternity to eternity, and all that came to be.

All that He created was good because God is good.

Loving Father, thank You for creating me just as I am. Thank You for providing me with all I need in this life both spiritually and materially. Thank You for the wonderful plans You have for my life and for the lives of those I love. Thank You, Father, for the promise of eternal life with You, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit in the Kingdom. Keep me faithful to the end. Amen.

Psalm 104:1-2A, 5-6, 10, 12, 24, 35C

My Love, Beloved of my soul,

When I look at the beauty of nature and all that is in it; the beautiful colors of the sky, the seasons, all living things, all that grows in nature in all its infinite and bounteous variety, and above all the crown of Your creation, humans, my soul is filled with wonder. Thank You Lord, for creating me, thank You for my family, friends, for laughter, for all the beauty in this life that moves my soul. Thank You for the promise of eternal life with You. How blessed I am Beloved. Keep me faithful to the end. Amen.

Mark 6:53-56
My Love, Beloved of my soul,

People came from everywhere when they knew that You were in their town or village and they brought with them all their sick. They begged You to touch them and they reached out to touch the tassle on Your cloak and all whom You touched, and all who touched even Your clothes, were healed.

How much more blessed are we Beloved, who have the privilege of eating Your Flesh and drinking Your Blood at every celebration of the Holy Mass when we receive the Eucharist. You are truly present in the Sacred Host, Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity. There is no intimacy, no union, as close as the intimacy that we share in Holy Communion.

Thank You, Father, for seeing our great need and for providing it in the Person of Your Son. Grant O Lord, through the power of Your Holy Spirit, that I refrain from doing anything that will prevent me from approaching the Altar and feasting at the Banquet Table. And if I do, because I am a miserable sinner, grant that I hasten to the Sacrament of Reconciliation, be forgiven, and then waste no time in receiving You worthily again. Loving Jesus, in Your great mercy, goodness, kindness, compassion and Your infinite love for me, keep me faithful to the end. Amen.
