1 John 3:7-10, Psalm 98:1, 7-9, John 1:35-42

DAILY HOLY MASS READINGS

In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets:
in these last days, he has spoken to us through the Son. Heb 1:1-2

1 John 3:7-10, Psalm 98:1, 7-9, John 1:35-42

1 John 3:7-10

My Love, Beloved of my soul,

The word sets out to deceive the children who are in ignorance and darkness this is why You have given those who believe a mission that will end only when our life on earth ends.

I am called to preach the Gospel by the witness of my life in season and out of season.

I am a child of God, begotten by God, grafted to You in baptism. You are in Me and I am in You this is why I am called to reject sin. Anyone who sins can have no part in You for sin separates us from You.

Help me Beloved, to cooperate with the graces You make available to me and to always turn away from the broad road that leads to eternal damnation.

Psalm 98:1, 7-9

My Love, Beloved of my soul,

Through the Incarnation and the merits of Your passion and death, all the world has been a witness of the saving power of God.

Truly, we have received a new song in our hearts and the joy of our salvation must overflow with praise for all You have done for us.

May I join the whole of creation in praising God for all that He has done for us in and through You. I have won the victory because You won it for me. I am a child of God because I am grafted to Your Body. The Holy Spirit lives in me and makes me His temple.

John 1:35-42

My Love, Beloved of my soul,

John the Baptist had already prepared his disciples for the coming of the Messiah, the Christ, the Lamb of God and on the day when he pointed You out to two of his disciples, it was only natural that they leave him to follow You.

When You turned around and saw them You asked, "What are you looking for." You ask each of us who follow You the same question. What is my answer? The disciples said, "Rabbi, where are you staying?" That was the starting point. They wanted to know You where You lived. And You invited them to come and see. They spent the rest of the day with You and at the end of it they were convinced they had found the Messiah and they carried the good news to their brothers Simon and James respectively and they too followed You.

You changed Simon's name to Peter in keeping with the mission You were going to entrust to him.

My Beloved, I too am Your disciple, a very poor one I admit, but I have seen and I believe that You are the Christ, the Son of God. Grant me the courage to live the Good News so that others who see me may also come to believe. Help this poor creature Lord for without the help of the Holy Spirit I can do nothing.
