Luke 4:38-44

1 Corinthians 3:1-9

My Love, Beloved of my soul,

I am weak just as St. Paul has said. I know what You desire of Me, in fact, it is what I desire for myself, but I often find myself unable to choose what I know to be true. It is a constant struggle and more often than not Your grace is more than sufficient for me. But there are times when faced with this vein of weakness in me I generally give way without putting up much of a struggle.  I know that every grace is made available to Me through the Eucharist and it is not because of lack of help that if falters, fumble, and fall. I choose to do so. Help me Lord and enable me to grow in spiritual maturity as I must and not remain a spiritual weakling all my life. I make this prayer in your Holy and mighty Name, Jesus. Amen,

Psalm 33:12-15, 20-21

My Love, Beloved of my soul,

I know that I am Yours. I know that You have claimed me as Your own little nothing. It is not because I am worthy, quite the opposite. Your choice is not because of any particular merit that I possess - rather it is precisely because I am so weak, so prone to fall, that You cannot help but have pity on me. Your tender heart is full of love, kindness, and compassion, for You are aware that without Your help I cannot make it. You are aware that I love You with all my heart, my mind, my soul, and my strength but You are also aware of how very helpless I am and how sometimes I give way when faced with temptation with little or no struggle. Thank You for knowing me better than I know myself and for loving me anyway.

Luke 4:38-44

My Love, Beloved of my soul,

I know that there are many good people who intercede on my behalf. Moved with pity You reach out to me every time, You take me by the hand, You strengthen me with Your Presence, and I am healed of all that afflicts me. You call me to serve for as long as there is breath in my body. May I heed Your call and serve in whatever capacity You require me to. May I be open to the promptings of Your Spirit who lives in this sinful creature because this is what the Father wills.

You have shown us the way we must walk and we are required to imitate Your way. We are not called to wait for applause and for people to think us better than we are for having done our duty rather we are called to move on for there are others who need what You desire us to give.

I am called to proclaim the Good News - may I do so with every breath I breathe.
