DAILY HOLY MASS READINGS

If you remain in my word, you will truly be my disciples,
and you will know the truth, says the Lord. Jn 8:31, 32

Romans 11:29-36, Psalm 69:30-31, 33-34, 36,
Luke 14:12-14

Romans 11:29-36

Dear Love, Beloved of my soul,

God's mercy is a gift granted to all. If the Jews had not rejected You then You would not have sent Your Apostles and disciples to us so that we may hear Your Word, hear the Good News and thus experience the saving love of God. However, God has used their disobedience to our advantage and in the end You assure us that they too shall come to know You and receive Your mercy for they are God's chosen people. God does not go back on His promises but is always faithful.

Your word reminds us that Your ways are not our ways nor are Your thoughts our thoughts. You act according to the riches of Your mercy, Your wisdom and knowledge that surpasses all.

Thank You Beloved for the disobedience and the rejection of the chosen people of God which is only for a while, so that all may come to know You, the Son the Living God and receive a share in Your inheritance.

Psalm 69:30-31, 33-34, 36-37

Dear Love, Beloved of my soul,

You have loved me with an everlasting love. You have saved me. You continue to protect me with the power of Your mighty hand. You have put a song of praise in my heart and I will glorify You Beloved all the days of my life. I thank You for always hearing me and for hastening to help me. You have never been deaf to my pleading. It is the humble of heart who will find a friend in You for You hate the haughty but the little ones will always find a friend in You.

Teach me always to be humble. To see myself as I am, a sinner in need of Your saving help. In the end, Beloved, we have Your assurance that all will believe, all will come to the knowledge of truth and all will receive the glorious inheritance that Your love has won for those who are called by Your Name.

Luke 14:12-14

Dear Love, Beloved of my soul,

At the Eucharistic Banquet You invite us sinners. We are the lame, the blind, the poor, the crippled. You know our hunger. You know our poverty. Without You to feed us with Your Body and Blood. Without You to robe us with virtue and grace. Without the forgiveness and healing we receive in the Sacraments we would perish in our sins. Thank You Beloved for giving us in abundance even though we can never repay You for all You have done for us and continue to do for us through the merits of Your passion, death, and Resurrection.

Thank You Beloved for the hope we have in Your coming again in glory. You will judge the living and the dead, You will receive us who have labored with Your help to establish Your reign in the world, and we will be united with You forever in heaven.
