1 John 2:29---3:6, Psalm 98:1, 3-5, John 1:29-34

1 John 2:29---3:6

My soul's beloved, we have been created in order to know God and Him whom He has revealed, His Son. The one sure way to love the Father is to know You whom He sent into the world for there is no greater love than this that a man lays down his life for his friend. We had lost the privilege forever of living with God and beholding His Face when our first parents sinned. But the God of love could not permit that we be separated from Him eternally. He who created us wanted to show us a Father's love, compassion, and tender mercy and so He sent You to become like us so we may become like You. You enable us to be holy and pure through grace just as You are holy and pure.

Thank You for restoring our friendship with the Father. Thank You for the Holy Spirit who helps us to overcome our weakness. The more we cling to You the less we shall sin. Keep us close to You always.

Psalm 98:1, 3-5

Thank You my soul's beloved for coming to the earth and for saving us through the power of Your most sacred Blood. Thank You for taking upon Yourself our iniquity, our punishment, our death and giving us Your Life. You are the Lamb of God.  The Lamb without stain or blemish. A perfect and acceptable sacrifice pleasing to God and able to restore all that we had lost. Truly, You put a new song of praise in our hearts for all that God has accomplished through You. Thank You Lord.

John 1:29-34

My soul's beloved, like John the Baptist we believe that You are the Lamb of God,  who takes away the sin of the world. We believe not only on the testimony of John the Baptist and the Apostles, but through the testimony of the Holy Spirit that has been given to us in Baptism. We believe,  because of the free gift of faith that is ours and through which we are able to say Abba, Father and Jesus is Lord. My soul's beloved, grant that we who are baptized may like John testify that You are indeed the Son of God. If we believe then we must proclaim to the ends of the earth to the glory of the Father that You indeed are the God who saves, there is no other nor is there any name in heaven or on earth by which we are saved but the one Name - Jesus.
