1 John 3:7-10
My soul's beloved, through Baptism we become a new creation, children of the Father, begotten by Him through faith which is also His free gift to us. If we call ourselves His children and Your sisters and brothers then we must live as such. God's nature is love and so our nature too must reflect His. We are reminded that as long as we persist in our sins we can have no fellowship with the Father for sin is abhorrent to God.
Adam and Eve succumbed to the temptations of the Devil and thus we lost our inheritance that the Father desired for us instead we became weak. This is why You were sent into the world to destroy death and the Evil One and restore what was lost. All those who choose to walk in the Light of Your Love are children of the Father. Keep us always on the side of Love and of Truth.
Psalm 98:1, 7-9
My soul's beloved, Your arm is strong, mighty, victorious and I share in this strength and victory because I belong to You. The whole of creation trembles in sheer delight and joy at all You have done for us and how You redeemed us. How infinitely good is our Father who did not hesitate to give You up in order that we may be restored to Him. Unworthy, weak, deserving of death and yet He loved us and asked that You pay our ransom with Your Blood.
John 1:35-42
My soul's beloved, John is a powerful witness to the mission which we have received in Baptism. He teaches us that we must always point to You as the One sent by God to redeem the world. We are called to direct all who seek the truth to the One who is Truth so that they follow You the Second Person of the Holy Trinity and the Son of God.
As disciples You ask us the same question, "What are you looking for?" There must be a clear vision about who we seek and why. We must desire to know where You stay and You will extend to us the same invitation, "Come and you will see." We need to take the initial step from head knowledge to a living encounter with You. Our mission does not end there once we have come to know You we are called to go out and reveal what we have found so others too may come to know You and experience Your love.
Peter came to know You after his brother Andrew and he was chosen to become Your Vicar on earth. Each of us has a specific task planned for us. It does not matter what it is we are required to be attentive, open, willing, and obedient.
