The Solemnity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe

2 Samuel 5:1-3, Psalm 122:1-5, Colossians 1:12-20, Luke 23:35-43

2 Samuel 5:1-3

My soul's beloved, You too became a Man so You cold become bone of our bone and flesh of our flesh. You have espoused us to Yourself. You are are God and our Shepherd. You will take us by the hand and lead us to the place that Your Father and our Father has prepared for us. You are are King, our Lord and our God it is in You and through You that all that is came to be. Thank You for the privilege of being Catholic and for the awesome Gift of Yourself to Me in the Holy Eucharist where we have a perfect union of our souls. Stay with me Lord all my days and when this life has run its course, come for me my soul's beloved and take me to Yourself so I can praise, worship, adore, and glorify You eternally.

Psalm 122:1-5

My soul's beloved, I thank You for the celebration of the Holy Eucharist all over the world every day. It is the Eucharist that keeps the world safe under that constant and watchful gaze of our Father. He delights in our union with You as His children receive Your Flesh and drink Your Blood and are sustained with Your Life. We rejoice as we enter the New Jerusalem, Your Church, the place where You dwell in fullness just as You do in heaven. Thank You for making Yourself accessible to us in our tabernacles. Thank You for such awesome love that gives us undying hope in uniting with You forever and ever in the Kingdom of God.

Colossians 1:12-20

My soul's beloved, no one says it as eloquently as St. Paul all that You have wrought for us by becoming like us, sharing our humanity, our suffering, and taking our place in that most ignoble, and horrific of all deaths by crucifixion. We can never thank the Father enough who deemed that You share our death in order that we may receive Your Life and walk no more in the darkness of sin. It would have been more than enough if this was all we received but the Father's love is infinite and unfathomable He desires that we share in Your glorious inheritance, becoming Your brothers and sisters and co-heirs with You to the Kingdom. You received the punishment that was ours. You tasted death, You entered into death and You destroyed it forever. What we had lost through sin You regained for us through Your perfect submission to the will of Your Father. No one has seen the Father except You. No one knows the Father as You do and having seen You we have seen the Father who is invisible for You have made Him visible to us through You. There is no created being more powerful than You for to You has been given all authority and all dominion. You rule over all and Your rule will never come to an end.

Your life holds us together for You are the Head and we are Your Body. We are baptized into You and each one of us is grafted to You. You are the Firstborn Son of the Father and we are His adopted children for He has given You to us as our Brother, our Spouse, our Bridegroom. You reconcile the world to Your Father through the Sacrifice of Yourself on the Cross. Your Blood redeems the world and we are saved by You and no other. Thank You for the hope we have in You.

Luke 23:35-43

My soul's beloved, when the world sneers, mocks, jeers and persecutes us because we are Christians help us to recall what You suffered in order to redeem us. Nothing we go through can equal what You went through in order to open the gates of heaven for us. You are the King not only of the Jews but of the whole world and of the universe. Every sinner has hope no matter how grave the sin as demonstrated from the Cross when You promised the repentant thief paradise that very day.Thank You my Lord and my King for the hope I have in You.
