DAILY HOLY MASS READINGS

Acts 11: 21-26 & 13:1-3, Psalm 98:1-6, Matthew 5:17-19

Acts 11: 21-26 & 13:1-3

The witness of a good person like St. Barnabas whose feast the Church celebrates today, is powerful and can can draw many to You my Beloved.

Together, the celebration of the Eucharist and fasting has the power to enable us become better attuned to the Holy spirit.  Prayer and fasting in the right spirit has the power to touch and move the heart of God and we receive all we ask for in prayer.

Psalm 98:1-6

Singing praise to God lifts the spirit and enable the soul to soar to the highest heavens.  Joyful songs of praise and thanksgiving cheers a sad heart and makes it possible to be more receptive and appreciative of all God has done for us.

Matthew 5:17-19

Divine law does not change because it is based on divine Truth which by its very nature is unchangeable.  No matter how willfully one tries to bend, twist and shape it Truth cannot deceive.

Lies and deceit are the work of the evil one.  It feeds on vanity, self-indulgence and pride and whoever spreads lies or lives a lie lives in darkness, loneliness and despair, whereas the children of the Light walk in the way of wisdom.  All those who teach others to walk in the Light are pleasing to God and will be blessed and rewarded by Him.
