2 Chronicles 24:17-25, Psalm 89:4-5, 29-34, Matthew 6:24-34

DAILY HOLY MASS READINGS

2 Chronicles 24:17-25, Psalm 89:4-5, 29-34, Matthew 6:24-34

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son,
that whoever
believes in Him shall not perish,
but have eternal life." John 3:16
2 Chronicles 24:17-25

My Beloved, those who abandon the Way that leads to God do so at their own peril.  God never abandons us even when we give ourselves over to evil ways.  He is a God of mercy and tender compassion.  He sent You my Beloved just as He sent prophets before You to warn His own of what would happen if they turned away from the God of Life.  But the sins of the flesh and the wiles of the world sometimes prove to be far more attractive than a life lived in grace in truth. So God sent You His only and most beloved Son to bring us back to Him and when we would not listen even to You, instead of annihilating us in His just and righteous anger He laid the burden of our iniquities on You.

You bore the punishment and the stripes we deserved, You endures death in order that Your adopted brothers and sisters could live.  Thank You Lord! Thank You Father!

Psalm 89:4-5, 29-34

My Beloved, You are the Covenant that God made with us.  It is an Eternal Covenant of Love and friendship with God and His children.  Yes, the Father had to punish His children for their sins but instead of letting the scourge fall on them He let is fall instead on You and with each stripe that fell upon your Sacred Body we were healed of our iniquities and cleansed from our sins.  You bore the Cross in obedience to the will of the Father so we might be overwhelmed and awestruck at the infinite depths of the love of God and turn away from sin that leads to death and instead choose to live a life of grace united with Jesus Your Son.  In this is our job.

Matthew 6:24-34

My Beloved, God has no used for a divided heart.  We must give Him all anything less is worthless.  All we have received has been given to us by a gracious God. For every breath we breathe we are dependant on Him.  He who created the birds and the flowers cares for them - His Word, His Eternal Word sustains them.  How much more does our loving Father care for us.  He did not spare His only Son why then my Beloved don't we have the assurance, the faith and the confidence that God who is our Father who gave us salvation and live in You and who sanctifies us through His Spirit would not provide for our spiritual and physical needs.  If we knew God better we would trust Him more.  Lord increase our faith!
