Sirach 15:15-20

My Beloved, the meaning of these verses are clear, the choice to sin or not is my own.  I am free to decide if I will walk on the path that leads to life or death.  Even if I am coerced I still remain  free to take the narrow way of obedience, humility, submission, yielding to the true, good and beautiful by choosing to walk in the Light of the Word.

Everything that I need to know is revealed to me in the pages of Holy Scripture, Apostolic Tradition and the Teaching Authority of the Church.  If I yield to temptation it is because I want to.  God causes no man to sin but Your eyes are always on those who desire to belong to You, those who fear sin because it means separation from You.

Help me Lord God for I am a sinner and I am weak.  Grant me Your strength, let me walk with You and lean on You.  never may I be parted from You through grave sin.
