DAILY HOLY MASS READINGS

1 Kings 2:1-4, 10-12, 1 Chronicles 29:10-12, Mark 6:7-13

1 Kings 2:1-4, 10-12

My Beloved, the advise David gave his son Solomon is the advise that every parent should give their children for this promise is for all the children of God.  "Be strong, keep the commandments, walk in my ways and You will succeed in all you do and wherever you go.  If
you walk faithfully with me with your whole heart and soul, I Your God, will ensure that the Son of David will be enthroned among you."

1 Chronicles 29:10-12

May You be blessed, loved, adored worshipped and honored forever.  Your reign my Lord is eternal.  You are great, all power, splendor, length of days, glory and all that the heavens and the earth contain are Yours.  You are the Sovereign and Supreme Ruler of all that is, was and shall be.  To You is given dominion, power and majesty, greatness and strength.  You give to all according to Your will for God, our God, is pleased to give all to You who in perfect humility and obedience surrendered Your will lovingly to the Father.

Mark 6:7-13

My Beloved, the mission, the mandate, the goal is clear.  We are all called to teach what You taught.  Before we can teach though we ourselves have to know what You taught.  We are not to set off on our own because we belong to the Church and whatever we do, we do together with her.  If we go off at a tangent we are sure to fall into error.

We are to trust God's providence to take care of our needs with childlike simplicity and confidence.  We are to carry nothing that will weigh us down with worry and anxiety but we mus travel light so our entire focus in on the mission at hand.  We are not to be dissipated but stay where we are needed and be content with what we receive.

God will empower us with His own power us with His own power and authority to teach, to heal and to overcome evil.  In His Name all will be possible.  We are to do as God's commands and not worry about results that is the work of the Holy Spirit.

God will deal with those who listen and obey and those who refuse to do so.  In His time and in His way, He will obtain the fruit of our labor.
