Genesis 49:2, 8-10

My Beloved, from the First Book in Sacred Scripture we see prophecies referring to You.  The Lion of Judah.  The Babe of Bethlehem who will come to rule the world with a Shepherd's staff.  A King who rules with justice and who routs the enemy through humility, obedience, and suffering.  He will conquer all nations by laying down His life and taking upon Himself our guilt and shame and setting us free from the slavery of sin.  Such is our God who in stopping conquered and won for us all a place in His Father's House.

Thank You, Lord!!!!

Psalm 72:1-4, 7-8, 17

My Beloved, early rulers no matter how gracious and good, will always fall short of the ideal.  You are the Blueprint of all that a good leader and a good king ought to be.  Your rule is just, You champion the rights of the lowly, the forgotten, the voiceless, the marginalized.  The proud, the haughty, the boastful, the rich who amassed wealth by exploiting the poor and using their power to rob them of what is rightfully theirs, these You will crush and destroy.

With Your coming justice has arrived.  The lame walk, the blind see, the dumb speak, the dead are raised to life
