1 John 4:7-10, Psalm 72:1-2, 3-4, 7-8, Mark 6:36-44

DAILY HOLY MASS READINGS:

1 John 4:7-10, Psalm 72:1-2, 3-4, 7-8, Mark 6:36-44

1 John 4:7-10

Love is Your nature and Love is Your Name - the Name of God and if I love then I too am born of Him whose Name is Love.  Love can do no wrong for it is good, pure and holy.  It is the essence of love to give all of itself without counting the cost to oneself.  This is why the God of love sent His Son into the world to demonstrate Love in the Person of His Son.  While we were yet sinners and quite undeserving of God's love, He permitted the immolation of unconditional love in total surrender and obedience to atone for our sins and heal the rupture that was caused in the relationship between God and His creatures.

Psalm 72:1-2, 3-4, 7-8

Father God, Your Son come into the world because You willed it. You desired that we know what true Love looks like so we could imitate it. The Love of God in Christ Jesus includes all people of all nations.  There is no distinction or division all are loved equally.  All are saved, all are heard most especially the weakest who are oppressed by the strong.  Your rule is everlasting.  It has been established in Love and will endure forever.  Fear has been vanquished for those who Love because in perfect lover there is no room for fear.

Mark 6:36-44

Men will send fellowmen away to fend for themselves, God however shows us a better way.  He teaches us how to be generous and compassionate.  He shows us that when we gladly share the little we have, He can perform mighty miracles if only we are ready to join forces with Him.  If we are ready to open our hearts and extend our hands, God will move to work mightily through us.

We must never doubt the ability of God, no matter how great the odds, in fact the greater the odds, the greater must be our faith for God has the power and the desire to act in our favor.  He desires to honor and reward our faith.  When the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are permitted to enter into the affairs of men, everything in our life will be transformed into the divine.

All God's people who gather in His Church all over the world sit and rest in Him and are nourished and fed with His Own Body and Blood in the Eucharist.  We receive food that helps us in our journey home to the Kingdom.

Nothing is impossible for God.
