DAILY HOLY MASS READINGS:

Genesis 49:2, 8-10, Psalm 72:1-4ab, 7-8, 17, Matthew 1:1-17

Genesis 49:2, 8-10

My Beloved, all nations shall bow before You and acknowledge Your Kingship and rule.  You are called the Lion of Judah and like a lion You destroyed the enemy and annihilated him.  Like a lioness You protect Your little ones who have no one to protect them but You. Your rule is everlasting and Your Kingdom is eternal.

Psalm 72:1-4ab, 7-8, 17

You are endowed by God with authority, power, kingship, rule, dominion and strength.  Your Word upholds and sustains all things.  You have a special compassion and mercy for the weak, including weak sinners who desire to be good and holy but who struggle constantly.  I thank You Lord God that all things and all people are subject to You and obey Your will.

You are my Lord and my Godand I worship and adore You.

Matthew 1:1-17

St. Matthew wants us to know that You came into the world in time and space and  through the line of David You had ancestors that came before You.  The four women named in Your ancestry my Beloved are Tamar, Rahab, Ruth and Bathsheba and finally Mary is named as Your Mama.

THE WORD BECAME FLESH AND DWELT AMONG US.  ALLELUIA!!!!
