Ephesians 2:1-10, Psalm 100:1-5, Luke 12:13-21

DAILY HOLY MASS READINGS:

My Beloved, this is the story of my life – my before and after story.  Not only was I dead through sin I am ashamed to say that I led others to sin as well.  In my naiveté  I believed everything the world said and Satan put a ring in my nose and led me.  I allowed my flesh to rule me.  I hushed the voice of the Spirit.  Yes Love, there was a time when had You called me and death came for me and I had to stand before You to received judgment I would have been eternally lost.  I could have been exposed many times while I sinned but in Your mercy You kept my sins a secret between us because You are compassionate and You are goodness and love.  You did not abandon me instead the used the events in my life to bring me to my senses to evaluate my life and to make the right choices. It took the loss of a precious and well loved child to help me find my life.  In the midst of a profound sorrow I found unimaginable joy.  I lost the world and gained the Kingdom.

Did I deserve it, of course not! What I deserved was death but God gave me life instead in You and You gave me the greatest treasure of all Your Holy Spirit who leads me, guides me and lives in me directing me all the time.  It has taken a long, long while Beloved and the road has been hard, rocky, winding and narrow but in the end I discovered You I have discovered Love and I have discovered that my soul purpose in life is to serve You and love You in the world.  Thank You.

To serve with gladness is the key to living a happy life.  To know You are our Creator, Father, Brother, Spouse, Friend, Comforter, Paraclete is to walk in a dark fallen world in the light of God’s own Light in confidence and peace.

We enter into the courts of Your Kingdom through the Gates which is Christ – He throws His arms wide open in loving invitation to all to enter so we may give thanks to God for all the wonders He has done.  Yes, God is good, loving, faithful, kind, merciful, compassionate and overwhelmingly generous with the treasures of grace that He joyfully heaps upon us.

Beloved, You are the just Judge and Your Holy Spirit is our Paraclete and Councilor but not over the affairs of the world.  The world, beautiful as it is with all its pretty and useful baubles can never compare or compensate for a life lived in grace and union with You.  There are people whose sole interest in life is to spend all their waking hours in looking after their earthly affairs.  Their money becomes an idol and the focus of their attention is directed daily to their money and how to increase it.  It is their first thought in the morning, their pre-occupation during the day and their last thought at night is it any wonder that more than half the world is sick with every disease related to stress.

Life is more than food and drink, the pandering of the senses and the pursuit of wealth is not the sole goal in life.  God can call us anytime for a rendering of our lives and the talents He has given us.  How many tears did we wipe and how many did we cause to fall?  How many answering smiles were evoked because we smiled and how many were saddened and discouraged after looking at our hard face and hardened hearts?  As we sow so shall we reap.  Sow the wind reap a whirlwind.   Sow love, joy, peace, goodness, patience, kindness and love and You will reap the Kingdom.
