                                     Psalm 16:1-2, 5-8, 11

1 Timothy 1:1-2, 12-14

13 although I had been a blasphemer, a persecutor and a rabid enemy. However he took mercy on me because I did not know what I was doing when I opposed the faith; 14 and the grace of our Lord was more than abundant, together with faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.

Beloved, You have had mercy and compassion on this sinner too.  You did not give up on me even though time and time again I disobeyed You.  Thank You for Your love even when I was faithless.  Thank You for seeing me as a child of the Father and saving me.

Luke 6:39-42

Help me Lord to be trained well in discipleship in order that I may serve You well.  Humility and true self knowledge are key to helping me overcome my prejudices, conceit and self righteousness.  Help me to see myself as You see me.  it will keep me humble.  i have only just begun, I have taken only little steps.  Walk with me.  Work in me.  Have Your way with me my Lord.

Psalm 16:1-2, 5-8, 11

Keep me safe, O God,
for in you I take refuge.
I say to the Lord,
“You are my Lord, my only good.”
O Lord, my inheritance and my cup,
my chosen portion – hold secure my lot.
I bless the Lord who counsels me;
even at night my inmost self instructs me.
I keep the Lord always before me;
for with him at my right hand,
I will never be shaken.
11 You will show me the path of life,
in your presence the fullness of joy,
at your right hand happiness forever.
