Daily Meditation: Matthew 12:50,
Matthew 12:50
50 Whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is for me brother, sister, or mother.”
The key to living a life that is pleasing and acceptable to You my Beloved is to seek to do the Father's will always. May I never forget this truth. Imprint it on my spirit. May I always stop and discern what is God's will for me from moment to moment. Grant me a full measure of Your Holy Spirit for He is the Helper, the Paraclete, the Guide. You told the Apostles that doing the will of Your Father was food and drink to You - grant that this might be true of me too, with the help of Your grace. Even though I fail and fall - which I am certain to do over and over again, help me to remember to seek the Father's will and start over.
Daily Mass Readings: Daniel 7:9-10,13-14, Matthew 17:1-9,
Psalm 97:1-2, 5-6, 9
Daniel 7:9-10,13-14
My Beloved, it is quite easy to lose all hope in this present day and age. The secular world wants to wipe out anything that even has the whiff of Christianity and if they could, they would obliterate the Catholic Church, because despite her sinful members, she continues to stand on the side of truth, goodness and beauty. She is Your Bride.
The following verse in today's reading gives us great hope. You are the Son of Man and the Son of God. "14 Dominion, honor and kingship were given him, and all the peoples and nations of every language served him. His dominion is eternal and shall never pass away; his kingdom will never be destroyed." There is no need for fear for God is always true to His Word, His Eternal Word. Amen!!!!
Matthew 17:1-9
Beloved, there are times in our life when You permit us to have a little taste of the Mount Tabor experience. What is important is not the experience of the supernatural but faith in God's word. May I always have the words of the Father before me, "This is My Son, the Beloved, My Chosen One. Listen to Him." And I can be certain that when life gets overwhelming we can trust You to touch us and say, "Stand up do not be afraid." And when we raise our eyes may we see no longer our difficulties but You alone.
Stay with me always my Lord.
