Daily Meditation: Psalm 36:6, 8-10
Psalm 36:6, 8-10
6 Your love, O God, reaches the heavens; your faithfulness, to the clouds.
8 How precious, O God, is your constant love! Mortals take refuge in the shadow of your wings.
9 In your house they find rich food and they drink from your spring of delight.
10 For with you is the fountain of life, in your light we see light.
My Beloved we know that You are Love and anyone who lives in You lives in God and God lives in him. I know this from the authority of Your Word in Sacred Scripture. Loves lives in my heart, Love reaches out from my heart and touches Love which is in heaven keeping me united in the Love between the Son and the Father. Your faithfulness never ends this knowledge is my joy, my hope and my strength. I take refuge in You. I hide in Your Sacred heart. Your love draws me into You there consume me and dissolve me into Yourself. At Your table I shall feed on rich food and sweet honey as I feast on the Banquet You provide and I will live. Streams of grace flow out from You who are the Fountain of Life to me through Your Holy Spirit. Refreshed and renewed I rise with You on the wings of the eagle at dawn and I come to rest on the mountain top where I worship and adore You - My Lord and my God.
Daily Mass Readings: Isaiah 55:10-11, Romans 8:18-23, Matthew 13:1-9
Psalm 65:10-14
Isaiah 55:10-11
Beloved, You pour grace into our hearts. We receive it with joy, we allow it to work in us and it produces the fruits of the Holy Spirit for Your glory and honor. Just as You the Eternal Word of God issued forth from the mouth of God and came into the world, dying and rising again triumphantly offering a redeemed world back to the Father.
Romans 8:18-23
The hallmark of a Christian, the watermark imprinted on the soul, is suffering. If You suffered then we too will suffer. As long as we live in our mortal bodies, weakened by sin, we will be in constant war within and without. We have to struggle constantly and cling to You alone who can give us strength through prayer and the Sacraments. While our bodies are here on earth, our hearts must long for You like strangers in a foreign land. The whole world seem is in turmoil and disaster seems imminent, yet Your purpose is being worked out even though evil and sin abound. Your Spirit is at work. The victory won at the Cross is ours if we reach out to grasp it.
We do taste heaven when we taste You in the Eucharist. Thank You.
Matthew 13:1-9
