Judges 6:34, Zechariah 9:9-10, Romans 8:9, 11-13, Matthew 11:25-30, Psalm 145:1-2, 8-11, 13-14

Daily Meditation:  Judges 6:34

Judges 6:34

34 Then the Spirit of the Lord clothed Gideon with strength.

My Beloved, I cried out to You for a fresh outpouring of Your Spirit as I suddenly seemed bereft of Your Presence.  Thank You for this verse today which strengthens me and gives me comfort.  Your Spirit is always with me despite what I feel.  I walk by faith not by sight.

Daily Mass Readings:  Zechariah 9:9-10, Romans 8:9, 11-13,
                                       Matthew 11:25-30, Psalm 145:1-2, 8-11, 13-14

Zechariah 9:9-10

Beloved, thank You for reminding me that I am the daughter of the King.  My Beloved, You are humility itself - this virtue is the hallmark of those who wish to follow You.  Mary my Mother, pray for me and obtain for me this priceless gift of humility in order that I may be always pleasing to Your Son, my Savior, Redeemer, Lord and King.

Romans 8:9, 11-13

Beloved, I truly am of little faith and it must grieve You that I am.  I have  been crying like a spoiled child these last few days, complaining that You have gone from me.  Enkindle my faith Lord.  Thank You for reminding me that I need only to turn to Your Sacred Word in Scripture, receive You in the Eucharist, participate in the Liturgy, withdraw into solitude to pray, have the awareness that You are always with me and will remain with me all the days of my life and beyond. You would never leave me.  I leave You when I sin.   It is Your Spirit that lies and reigns in me and rules me.  May I live my life in ever willing submission to Your Holy Spirit.

Matthew 11:25-30

With Your yoke of love upon my shoulders and with You helping me to carry this precious burden of love, grant that I may reveal Your  sweetness to all I encounter every moment of every day I live, beginning with those in the inner circle of my life and moving slowly outward to encompass everyone whose life I touch.  Amen.

Psalm 145:1-2, 8-11, 13-14

Bless the Lord, my soul; all my being, bless his holy name!
Bless the Lord, my soul, and do not forget all his kindness;
The Lord is gracious and merciful, abounding in love and slow to anger; he will not always scold nor will he be angry forever. 10 He does not treat us according to our sins, nor does he punish us as we deserve.
11 As the heavens are high above the earth, so great is his love for those fearing him;
13 As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord pities those who fear him.
14 For he knows how we are formed, he remembers that we are dust.

These verses say all that my heart longs to and does it so wonderfully well.
