Daily Mass Readings: Genesis 28:10-22, Matthew 9:18-26,
Psalm 91:1-4, 14-15
Genesis 28:10-22
15 "See I am with you and I will keep you safe where you go. I will brink you back to this land and not leave you until I have done what I promised."
My Beloved, how can I ever doubt Your Presence in me and in my life. You are always with me. I rest peacefully in this knowledge of your abiding Presence and love for me. None dare approach to harm me for I am Yours. You have claimed me for Yourself and I rejoice my Beloved in Your possession of me. Now and forever I am Yours.
Matthew 9:18-26
I touch the edge of Your cloak each time I go to confession and You heal me in mind, body and spirit. I approach timidly, shyly, a little fearful that I might be rejected for my sins are crimson and the weight of my burden is great. The beat of my heart resounds in my ears as I kneel before You and ask You to bless me. Instantly I become aware of Your awesome Presence; I speak hesitantly as I lay my sins before You, tears well up in my eyes and are running down my cheeks. You speak kindly, You admonish ever so gently, You make firm my resolve never to offend You ever again as I listen to Your words of loving encouragement. Then You speak the words that cleanse, forgive, heal and restore to pristine purity, "Go in peace my daughter, Your sins are forgiven." The rush of grace floods my soul and suffuses my entire being. I glow in the warmth of Your benediction knowing that as You have said so it is. Thank You my Lord!.
Psalm 91:1-4, 14-15
1 You who dwell in the shelter of the Most High,
who rest in the shadow of the Almighty,
2 say to the Lord, “My stronghold,
my refuge, my God in whom I trust!”
3 He will rescue you from the fowler’s snare
and from the deadly pestilence.
4 He will cover you with his pinions
and give you refuge under his wings.
14 “Because they cling to me, I will rescue them,”
says the Lord.
“I will protect those who know my name.
15 When they call to me, I will answer;
in time of trouble I will be with them;
I will deliver and honor them.
