Isaiah 30:19-21, 23-26

My Beloved, these wonderful prophecies made by Isaiah have come to pass with Your coming into this world.

We who once lived in the darkness of sin and trembled with fear at the thought of death have now been liberated.  Like the prophet Simeon we say that our eyes have beheld our salvation and we can die in peace.  We weep no more because we have glorious hope.  When we seek we find, we knock and You open, we ask and You give generously.  As St. John the beloved disciple said we have seen, we have heard and we have touched divinity in the Flesh and Him we have revealed to you.  We to have heard, seen, touched with out hands and tasted with our mouth, Your goodness, sweetness and love. You have given us Your own Holy Spirit as our Paraclete, Comforter and Guide.  We hear Him speak, "This is the way walk in it."

Your Word is the seed sown in our hearts which will yield a plentiful, abundant harvest.  Your Light dispels the darkness of sin and imbues us with the radiance of its light so we too share Your light and become beacons of hope in the world. It is a light that night cannot dispel or put out.  We were wounded by our sins but You have bandaged our wounds with the sweetness of Your love and You have healed us.

Thank You my Lord and my God!

Psalm 147:1-6

My Beloved, the wonder of singing Your praises is that it lifts our won soul to heaven and we are filled with joy and delight in contemplating Your goodness.  Thank You for the wonderful Gift of the sacrament of reconciliation where You heal our broken heart, bandage our wounds and strengthen and comfort us. You who know the place of every star in the universe because You created them and have given each one its name, how much greater and more intimate is Your knowledge of us who are the work of Your hands.  We are made in Your image and likeness.  Help us to see ourselves as we truly are - ashes and dust, it is You who raise us up,and give us dignity.  Without You we are nothing.

Matthew 9:35-10:1, 5a, 6-8

My Beloved, we Your followers are called to imitate You closely in all that we do. You had pity and were moved to tender compassion when You saw the crowds, grant us this same gift of empathy for our brothers and sisters.  Let our sympathy move us to act as You did reaching out, touching, comforting, healing, bandaging wounds, speaking words of encouragement and hope, blessing in word and deed.

I pray that all whom You call to serve in Your vineyard will heed to Your call.  May all we say and do be in perfect with Your will as we minister unselfishly with no thought of reward.  We have received all freely as a gift, let us give freely what we have received.

Isaiah 29:17-24, Psalm 27:1, 4, 13-14, Matthew 9:27-31

DAILY HOLY MASS READINGS

Isaiah 29:17-24, Psalm 27:1, 4, 13-14, Matthew 9:27-31

Isaiah 29:17-24

My Beloved, we live in an age full of promise and hope.  it may not always seem that way when we hear, see or read the news.  Your work goes on quietly, silently, efficiently, unseen.  The workers in Your vineyard may not be as many as there should be but they are faithful, they toil joyfully and sincerely.  They have tasted Your goodness.  They have experienced Your love and now they want the world to know it too.  In the midst of persecution, they remain faithful.  They help the dear to hear, and the blind to see.  While it may seem that evil rules the day, the truth is that grace abounds even more.  The day of the Lord is at hand and we rejoice and are glad.

You are God who dwells among His people - Emmanuel, You are the anointed one who saves.

Psalm 27:1, 4, 13-14

My Beloved, the very first verse of this psalm is a beacon of hope.  You are our God, we are your people, formed in Your image and likeness for a heavenly purpose and destiny.

As Catholics we are awesomely blessed.  You make Your dwelling place among us hidden in the form of Bread.  We can approach You night or day and find You waiting patiently for us in Your Sanctuary.  You are the Precious Jewel, the Precious Pearl of Great Price and all is worth losing in order to gain You.

We have all we need in You.  Our hope in You is never disappointed.  Thank You for giving us strength for the battle each day.  In You alone my Beloved will I taste Your victory at last and be united with You forever.

Matthew 9:27-31

No cry of appeal to You goes unheard.  We pray for years my Beloved for our loved ones to come back to the faith and often it is tempting to give up  because the situation remains unchanged year after year and in some cases even seem to get so bade it seems hopeless. The chains of evil seem to bind ever tighter.  Yet, there is always hope.  You always hear.  Every cry does reach Your ear.  Your arm is not too short to save,.  The word issued forth from Your lips will not return without completing what it was sent out to accomplish.  So I will continue to cry and shout and appeal to and beg You.  I will run after You and catch up with You and You in turn will reveal to me Your goodness and mercy and You will ask me if I believe that You can do all I ask of You and I will say yes, yes I do believe. And You will grant me everything I ask for in accordance with my faith and much much more besides because You are an extravagant and prodigal God and You always give lavishly and with abandon.
