Acts 5:17-26

This time it was the Sadducees who were jealous.  Jealousy an ugly word and an ugly emotion that can lead to a multitude of sins.

If God is for us then God's power, might and strength will do battle on our behalf.  He will send His angels to act for us.  He sets us free.  Locked doors cannot keep God out nor can fetters and chains.  At His touch all barriers disintegrate and God is free to act as He will in a submissive heart and a yielding spirit God can do the impossible.

'Go!' is a command given to all believers - stand tall and confident and tell or proclaim to the people the whole of the living message, the Good News.  We do not water it down or tell only those parts that are convenient.  We preach the whole message boldly.  As long as there is light from dawn to dusk we profess our faith.  Not a hair of our head can be harmed if God does not permit it.  God is a powerful and invincible ally and with Him, in Him and through His Son, the world is conquered and we are victorious in Him.

Psalm 34:2-9

I taste You each day in the Holy Eucharist and I shelter all the time under the protection of Your mighty wings.

John 3:16-21

God always takes the initiative.  He takes the first step.  He makes the first move, He invites, He calls, He gives, He pleads, He intercedes, He loves. We are free to respond, to receive, to allow His life, His love, His forgiveness, His grace, His Spirit and His presence to flow into us, move us, cherish us and make us His children.  Those who do not believe, who prefer to deny God's love, view Him as HE IS NOT and not as HE IS.

God condemns no one.  It is our choice - we choose to use our free will to believe or not in the Name of the only Son of God.  Only when I KNOW HIM, can I love Him and trust His love for me.  Those who love sin, love the night for they believe that the cover of darkness hides their iniquity.  But the deepest darkness is light for the Light of the World.  Nothing is hidden from, His sight.  Love is Truth, Life and Power.  All the work done by the children of the Light are seen as works done solely for God's glory and His glory alone.

Acts 4: 32-37

My Beloved, we live in a 'me first and me only ' culture. We are obsessed about owning, buying, having.  There is a feverish desire to cater to every craving.  There is no discernment, no use of natural wisdom, no appeal to a natural law that is written on the human heart.  Contrast this with the earl Church.  Every verse tells us the beauty, the joy and the power in living according to the Gospel and of following Your example.

Let there be an awakening awareness that we will annihilate ourselves if we continue on the path of hedonism and consumerism that the world is currently promoting with such vigor and vengeance.

Psalm 93:1-2, 5

My Beloved, You rule the world, You have conquered and You are triumphant and victorious.  All glory, honor and worship belong to You. You are the God of all ages, the great I AM and we know that You alone can be trusted.  Your Church can be trusted, Your Church is holy and we who are her members can trust You to make us holy and lead us to our eternal home there to praise You forever.

John 3:7b-15

"You must be born again from above."

We wish to wallow in the muck even when our cravings only deaden the spirit and fans depravity to depths we could never have imagined.  Yet You have shown us the way to reach out, above and beyond ourselves to the things of God and to His Holy Spirit.  There is a better, purer, richer, nobler, more exhilarating way to live.  The Holy Spirit is like the Wind, Water, Fire, the power of the Holy is given to us at our Baptism and we are confirmed in this Spirit at our Confirmation.

Beloved, let the sleeping giant which is the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church wake up.  The time for sleeping is over.  We ought to know what You came to teach, preach and do so we can bear witness to it first in the way we live our lives - holy, pure and filled with love for all.

We do not go alone to heaven, we must be in the company of those whose lives have been touched by You through us.
