Acts 4: 32-37

My Beloved, we live in a 'me first and me only ' culture. We are obsessed about owning, buying, having.  There is a feverish desire to cater to every craving.  There is no discernment, no use of natural wisdom, no appeal to a natural law that is written on the human heart.  Contrast this with the earl Church.  Every verse tells us the beauty, the joy and the power in living according to the Gospel and of following Your example.

Let there be an awakening awareness that we will annihilate ourselves if we continue on the path of hedonism and consumerism that the world is currently promoting with such vigor and vengeance.

Psalm 93:1-2, 5

My Beloved, You rule the world, You have conquered and You are triumphant and victorious.  All glory, honor and worship belong to You. You are the God of all ages, the great I AM and we know that You alone can be trusted.  Your Church can be trusted, Your Church is holy and we who are her members can trust You to make us holy and lead us to our eternal home there to praise You forever.

John 3:7b-15

"You must be born again from above."

We wish to wallow in the muck even when our cravings only deaden the spirit and fans depravity to depths we could never have imagined.  Yet You have shown us the way to reach out, above and beyond ourselves to the things of God and to His Holy Spirit.  There is a better, purer, richer, nobler, more exhilarating way to live.  The Holy Spirit is like the Wind, Water, Fire, the power of the Holy is given to us at our Baptism and we are confirmed in this Spirit at our Confirmation.

Beloved, let the sleeping giant which is the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church wake up.  The time for sleeping is over.  We ought to know what You came to teach, preach and do so we can bear witness to it first in the way we live our lives - holy, pure and filled with love for all.

We do not go alone to heaven, we must be in the company of those whose lives have been touched by You through us.
