Isaiah 7:10-14, 8:10

You are the everlasting, eternal sign that God is with us.  What no man could ever conceive, the plan of God made possible - for God to take on flesh and not just any flesh.  He prepared for Himself a body that was untainted and uncorrupted by sin and in that virginal womb, the Son of God took flesh.  A holy place, a sanctuary where there was a plenitude of grace.  God took the merits of His Son's passion, death and resurrection and fashioned for Himself a creature the like of which never was and never shall be again.  She was everything God had desired men and women to be before the fall and from her cam Emmanuel - God is now with us always.

Hebrews 10:4-10

When what was perfect came into the world all that was imperfect passed away.  You offered the supreme sacrifice to the Father in expiation for sin.  No other sacrifice was acceptable, nor were they effective although they were required by the law. All that blood of sheep, lambs and bulls - that endless flow of animal blood and death to atone for sins was but a preparation for the one and only sacrifice of the eternal Son of God offered willingly in perfect obedience and perfect love.  In this way, we know definitively how much God loves us for He did not hold back His only Son but desired Him to be the means of salvation for all who believe.

Psalm 40:7-11

7 Sacrifice and oblation you did not desire; this you had me understand.
Burnt offering and sin offering you do not require.
8 Then I said, “Here I come! as the scroll says of me.

9 To do your will is my delight, O God, for your law is within my heart.”
10 In the great assembly I have proclaimed your saving help.

My lips, O Lord, I did not seal – you know that very well.
11 I have not locked up in my heart your saving help,

but have spoken about it – your deliverance and your faithfulness;
I have made no secret of your truth and of your kindness in the great assembly.

Thank You my beloved Jesus for revealing to us the depth, breadth, length and height of the Father's love for us in You.

Luke 1:26-38

My Beloved, may Mother Mary's response to God's will be my response too.  Grant me the grace to make it so. Amen.

The Word of the Lord was delighted,
When His Father said, “Son, You may choose,
From all generations one whom you wish
To be a Mother to You.”
The Word looked at every young maiden,
His eyes scanned the entire race,
Till they fell on a lovely young virgin,
The one Gabriel called full of grace.
She was God’s ideal woman
Created with marvellous care,
Radiant with beauty and goodness,
No being with her could compare.
Her voice was as soft as an angel’s,
Her laugh like a clear rippling stream,
Her scent like the flowers in springtime,
Her smile held the warmth of sunbeams.
God knew from ages eternal,
The one that our Saviour would choose,
To be His new Ark of the Covenant,
The one who would bear His Good News.
So the Vessel of God was created,
Free from original sin,
Her immaculate birth brought heaven to earth,
Awestruck, creation stood still.
