Your light must shine in the sight of men,
so that, seeing your good works,
they may give the praise to your Father in heaven. MT 5:16

That is why it is ‘through him’ that we answer Amen to the praise of God. Remember it is God himself who assures us all, and you, of our standing in Christ, and has anointed us, marking us with his seal and giving us the pledge, the Spirit, that we carry in our hearts.

My Soul's Beloved,
I open my mouth and I sigh
My Soul's Beloved,
My Soul's Beloved,
You O Lord are our Covenant with God. You are the Bridegroom espoused to the Bride, Your Church founded on us, the baptized, who are living stones. You are the 'Eternal Yes' of the Father who created all things through You and for You. You are the gate through which we enter heaven, there is no other.
From the dawn of creation, the Father made sacred Covenants with His creatures, each following the other until the ultimate, final, and perfect Covenant that He makes between You His only begotten Son, and us His poor unworthy creatures. He makes us daughters and sons and He will espouse us to You when You come again in glory to take us to Yourself eternally. There we will rejoice at the wedding feast that will never end.
That is why it is ‘through him’ that we answer Amen to the praise of God. Remember it is God himself who assures us all, and you, of our standing in Christ, and has anointed us, marking us with his seal and giving us the pledge, the Spirit, that we carry in our hearts.
Thank You, Lord.

My Soul's Beloved,
You are the Eternal Light of the Father and through You, O Lord, we are drawn in the power of the Holy Spirit into Your Light and into the divine Life that You share with the Father.
It is only in doing Your will can we find true joy and true peace. Grant us this grace O Lord to not only discern it but to do all You ask of us promptly and joyfully. Just as the will of the Father was food and drink to You grant that it may so for us too.
I open my mouth and I sigh
as I yearn for your commands.
Turn and show me your mercy;
show justice to your friends.
Turn and show me your mercy;
show justice to your friends.
Purify me O Lord, little by little daily so at the close of each day I will be just a little more like You. May Your will rule all I do and the light of Your Face will illumine all my days.
Let my steps be guided by your promise;
let no evil rule me.
Let your face shine on your servant
and teach me your decrees.
Let your face shine on your servant
and teach me your decrees.
MATTHEW 5:13-16 ©
My Soul's Beloved,
We can only be the salt of the earth and the light of the world if we walk the way of the Cross daily. Suffering is the lot of the Christian who genuinely seeks to conquer the flesh, the world, and the devil. It is good to always bear in mind that while we live in the world we are not to be tainted by it. "Do not love the world or the things in the world. The love of the Father is not in those who love the world; for all that is in the world—the desire of the flesh, the desire of the eyes, the pride in riches—comes not from the Father but from the world. And the world and its desires are passing away, but those who do the will of God live forever.’
May You Holy Spirit live in me and breathe in me that all my thoughts may be holy and pleasing to You then O Lord, I will be what You desire me to be:
‘You are the light of the world. A city built on a hill-top cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp to put it under a tub; they put it on the lamp-stand where it shines for everyone in the house. In the same way your light must shine in the sight of men, so that, seeing your good works, they may give the praise to your Father in heaven.’
