DEUTERONOMY 6:4-13 ©

My Soul's Beloved,

God has one Word, His Eternal Word of God, the Lifegiving Word of the Father is You, His Son, the Savior and Redeemer of the world that came into existence at the utterance of the Word of God. All that the Father has to say is expressed in You.

We are to love the incarnate Word of God with all our heart, all our soul, and with all our strength. The Word must be etched on our hearts. The Word is to be passed on from one generation to the next. The Word must be alive in us and we must repeat the Word whose name is Jesus at our rising and at our lying down, and as we go about the routine of our daily tasks. Yours the Name that must be ever on our lips, in our hearts, on our minds, in our souls, and in our very breath.

Having You, Beloved, we are satisfied. Having You we possess all. Everything else that God grants us is a bonus. All who love You are blessed superabundantly just by knowing and loving You. We are saved by You, set free by You. Ransomed by Your Blood we belong to You in time and in eternity.

PSALM 18:2-4,47,51 ©

My Soul's Beloved,

Thank You for being my rock, my strength, my deliverer in times of trouble. Thank You for always hearing me when I call to You in distress. Thank You for being my comfort. Thank You for the gift of faith that I have received that enables me to place all my hope in You.

Thank You for each one of Your promises to me. I believe in You, Lord. Thank You for all Your assurances of love for me and for those I love and above all thank You for dying for me, redeeming me, and for the hope I have of spending eternity loving You, praising You, worshipping You joyfully in Your glorious Presence.

My Soul's Beloved,

The tragic truth for most Christians is the fact that ours is a wishy-washy faith incapable of producing even a little miracle.  Considering the times we live in when knowledge is freely available and accessible to all we spend all our time in worthless, frivolous pastimes putting our eternal souls in peril. Ours is a truly faithless and perverse generation.

Pity us, Lord. We are like lunatics putting ourselves at risk by following a perilous culture that the world demands we adopt. We dance with the devil and wail at the dreadful consequences that follow. We come to You today, with the same spirit of the father who brought his poor demon-possessed son to You and we beg You to take pity on us and heal us.

We need an increase in faith Lord. Grant us a mustard seed of genuine faith with which we can move mountains. An authentic faith, no matter how small, knows beyond the shadow of a doubt that with You nothing is impossible. Thank You, Lord.
