2 CORINTHIANS 3:4-11 ©

My Soul's Beloved,

How beautifully and clearly St. Paul explains that You are our New Covenant, You are our justification before the Father. You stand before the Throne of God and we stand with You bathed in Your Blood and Your love and the Father sees us through Your wounds - the price of our salvation. 

You are the fulfillment and culmination of every promise, every oath that God swore, every Covenant He made beginning with Adam. All that the Law did was make us aware of our sins and no amount of blood from bulls and rams could take away the punishment due to sin. You are the Lamb of Sacrifice that takes away the sins of the world.

You make it possible for all who believe that the Father sent You to redeem the world to have hope of entering the holy of holies, beholding God face to face, and receiving a share in Your glorious inheritance for by Your death and glorious resurrection we are the adopted children of God and heirs to the everlasting Kingdom of heaven.

My Soul's Beloved,

God spoke to Abraham, and to the patriarchs and prophets,
they heard Him, obeyed Him, and understood that He was a God that drew near to all who called on Him. He accompanied them and never abandoned them. He heard and answered their prayers and they in turn exalted and worshipped Him.  

God made Himself accessible to them in various ways - in the burning bush, in a pillar of cloud, in the wind. They could not see Him for His glory was so great that if they did they would die. Until the incarnation, after the fiat of the Virgin Mary, He sent You into the world to become like us in all things save sin. 

We are so privileged to know You, to behold You in the Eucharist, to adore You, and to feast on Your Body and Blood, receive Your life and become one with You.

You whom the angels and saints worship and adore, You are holy and dwell with the Father in inaccessible Light, become accessible to all who believe in You through Your Word, through Your Spirit, and every so gloriously and intimately in the Holy Eucharist. Thank You.

MATTHEW 5:17-19 ©

My Soul's Beloved, 

Every disciple who is an authentic witness to the Gospel, to the Good News, to the Word of God made flesh, who redeemed the world will be considered great in the Kingdom of God.

The Law makes known to us all the ways in which we choose to separate ourselves from God. It is necessary for us to know God's Law and while knowledge of our sins only brings sorrow, sadness, and separation from God, You came into the world to pay the price for our disobedience. 

All the Commandments given by God to Moses on Mt. Sinai must be obeyed and each time we break any of them we sever our relationship with Him. The Good News though is this, we now have a remedy for sin where once there was not. All the blood of bulls and rams that could not wash away the sins of the world or the punishment due to sin in the past can not be forgiven and forgotten in the ocean of God's mercy. 

You are the Lamb of God who came into the world to take upon Yourself all the punishment of every sinner beginning with Adam until the last human being, paying in full the great debt we owed. Sin is abhorrent to God, we cannot sin and hope to enter the Kingdom of God but thanks be to God, He made a Way. Every repentant and contrite sinner is forgiven because You have won the victory over sin and death and we are saved by Your Blood. 

All those who sin with impunity and encourage others to sin as well will be damned and all who teach about the love, mercy, compassion, tenderness, and forgiveness of all the sins of repentant sinners sin will receive a great reward in Your Kingdom.
