TUESDAY IN THE OCTAVE OF EASTER - 2021

DAILY HOLY MASS READINGS

This is the day the LORD has made;
let us be glad and rejoice in it.
 PS117:24

ACTS 2:36-41 ©

My Soul's Beloved,

We are living in the age of the Holy Spirit but we are quite ignorant of the power we possess. You have sent us the Spirit
just as the Father sent You. We are sons and daughters of the Most High through baptism and the power of the Holy Spirit. Strengthened and nourished by the Holy Eucharist we are armed to do battle against the world the flesh and the devil.

We are a new creation in and through You and in the power of the Holy Spirit. We are victorious in the victory and triumph of the Cross.  None of God's will be lost, He ensures it by saving the world through Your Word through the power of the Holy Spirit.

We are given the same power that Peter and the Apostles received. We are given the same mandate. All we are required to do is step out boldly in faith and proclaim the Good News the Holy Spirit will do the rest by convicting those who hear us to repent, to believe, and be saved.

PSALM 33:4-5,18-20,22 ©

My Soul's Beloved,

You are the Eternal Word, the Living Word, the all-powerful Word of God, and You have redeemed the world. Your Word is Truth and Your Word has the power to consecrate us in the
Truth. In a world where all is temporary, all created things decay and die Your Word is true, faithful, and everlasting. Your Word fills the world with light, justice, and love.

All who are baptized into Your Body, all who trust You, all who call on Your Name in faith, all who follow You faithfully, can have this hope - they will never see death. You are our food and drink and Your Word sustains us.

In an ever-changing world, Your Word is unchanging. It is the same yesterday, today, and forever and all who walk in the Light of Your Word will never walk in darkness. You O Lord are love incarnate, the Word made flesh who dwells among us. We who place all our hope in You have nothing to fear.

My Soul's Beloved,

Like Mary outside the empty tomb, we too do not fully
comprehend Your Word, we are afraid that Your promises are so extravagantly wonderful that we lack the faith to embrace them in faith.

Over and over again You told Your disciples as well as Mary that You would rise again after three days but they were so consumed with their own sorrow that all memory of this glorious assurance had fled from their memory.

Too often, Beloved, I allow my fears to consume me, to overwhelm me, to distract me from the promises You make every day to be with me, to walk with me, to remain in me.

Not only do You send angels to comfort me You come to Me in person in the Holy Eucharist - and You say to me, 'Why are you weeping, why are you afraid, why do you lack faith in Me and My Word? Am I not your soul's beloved, am I not here, have I not made my home in you? Why do you doubt? Just believe. All I ask of you is this - make Me known and loved so all may come to the knowledge of truth and be saved. Your Father desires that not one of His little ones be lost.
