DAILY HOLY
MASS READINGS
By his own choice the Father made us his children by the message of the truth, so that we should be a sort of first-fruits of all that he created. JAMES 1:18
HOSEA 10:1-3, 7-8, 12
My Beloved, Soul of my soul,
It is true, that the more we amass this world's goods the farther we drift from You and from Your Church until we cut ourselves off the Vine completely. The more chase the world the more obsessed we become with its tinsel and glitter until eventually, our souls shrivel for lack of Living Water and die. Keep us in You and in Your Church
Thank You, Beloved, for this pandemic for there is much good seed being sown; seeds of kindness, goodness, generosity, and openness to the Word. We look forward to reaping the harvest of blessings that will eventually rain upon us when this trial has ended.
PSALM 105:2-7
My Beloved, Soul of my soul,
One of the many ways in which we can sing Your praise is to to testify to Your goodness and Your faithfulness. You alone are the source of perfect joy and peace. This truth is something many do not know and much of this world's grief is because many are ignorant of You and Your love.
When we count our blessings and recall that You have always been present even during our darkest times, our courage, faith, and hope will be renewed.
Thank You, for making Your home in our hearts so when we seek Your Face we have only to turn our gaze within to find You.
MATTHEW 10:1-7
My Beloved, Soul of my soul,
Each of the Twelve were chosen to receive the Good News from God Himself in the Person of His Son, and to carry it to the ends of the earth. They were not chosen from the elite, the learned, the wealthy, the powerful, or those in authority in the Temple of Jerusalem. They were mostly fishermen, many were illiterate, rough, common, except for Matthew the tax collector, and he was considered a sinner and an outcast in Jewish society. Even Judas Iscariot, who would eventually betray You, was one of the Twelve.
Let us not blame You for the terrible choices we make, rather, even if we have fallen lower than the lowest sinner, we always remember that we can still rely on grace to pick us up, wash us clean, and restore us once more as a member of God's family.
We are Your disciples, and we have received this mission, to proclaim that the kingdom of heaven is close at hand. Let's resolve not to fail in this mission.
