The Holy Spirit will teach you everything
and remind you of all I told you. JN 14:26
ACTS 14:5-18
My Beloved Soul of my soul,
The enemies of the Good News are those who desire the world and all that the world offers. As soon as there is a hint of anything that will disturb their world order they will do all in their power to crush and destroy it.
If we have faith in You, Beloved, then possessing You we possess all things as the man crippled from birth found out. All it took was a word from Paul who commanded him, "Stand up straight on your feet and walk." And he did. Faith in You and in Your Name has the power to move mountains and You have left us this power through the Holy Spirit who dwells in us.
There are many preachers in the world who usurp the power and glory of God and make a handsome living off it. To these, You will say, "Get away from Me, I don't know you." To God alone belongs all glory, honor, and power now and forever.
PSALM 115:1-4, 15-16
My Beloved, Soul of my soul,
We thank God our Father, for sending His Word into the world, the Word that became flesh, and dwelt among us. You came to reveal the Truth about God and the Way back to God. You came to give us supernatural life through the wonderful Sacraments You instituted so we can be strengthened as we make our pilgrim journey from this life to the next.
You call us to be light and salt so everyone in the world will know that there is a God and that He came into the world to redeem it.
Thank You, Father, for the beautiful world You have entrusted to us. We have been misusing its wealth and defacing its beauty so You have intervened. This time is given for the earth to heal and to teach us that this world needs to be cared for because we have to hand it on to those that come after us.
JOHN 14:21-26
My Beloved, Soul of my soul,
You came to reveal to the world all that heaven desires to give us if we keep the commandments. The two great commandments of love encompass all that God commands.
You have shown us how to love. Love is an act of will that holds nothing back. This kind of love takes courage for it demands all we have to give and asks for nothing in return and in asking for nothing receives everything.
To be Christian is wonderful, but to be Christian and Catholic is a gift beyond compare. For it is in this one, holy, catholic, and apostolic church of which You are the Cornerstone and Peter the Rock on which it is built, that the fullness of Beauty, Truth, Life, and Love makes its dwelling place.
