When the Spirit of truth comes,
he will guide you to all truth
and remind you of all I told you. Jn 16:13A; 14:26D

Genesis 46:1-7, 28-30
Psalm 37:3-4, 18-19, 27028, 39-40
Matthew 10:16-23

Genesis 46:1-7, 28-30
My Love, Beloved of my soul,

From today's Scripture passage taken from Genesis we learn that we must always bring all our hopes, dreams, and plans to You trusting that if it is Your will, You will fulfill all our heart's desires.

Only when we come to You in prayer will we hear Your voice and when we do our response must always be, "Here I am." When You speak to us we must be attentive and once we are aware of what You desire from us we must do it gladly, whole-heartedly, and promptly. We can trust You to bless us abundantly when we always seek Your will and do it.

Psalm 37:3-4, 18-19, 27028, 39-40
My Love, Beloved of my soul,

The psalmist assures us as well that if we trust in You and do what You command You will bless us with every grace and blessing. You will delight in giving us our heart's desires because they are Your desires for us as well.

You assure us that You watch over us constantly and that You will grant us a share in Your inheritance which is everlasting. While everyone is in want You will ensure that we have all the grace and blessings we need both spiritual and temporal.

We have Your assurance when we turn away from sin and walk in the Way of Life and Truth, You will abide in us and we will walk in fellowship with You all the days of our life.

Matthew 10:16-23

My Love, Beloved of my soul,

Just as the Apostles were commissioned to go out into the whole world to spread the Good News of our salvation so too are we sent each in our own capacity, and in accord with our vocation in life.

Those in leadership roles within the Church are called in a more radical way to live in the world but not to be corrupted by it. Sadly many have failed. They have lacked the spine to stand up for what You taught and preached. Truth is eternal. It does not change from generation to generation, culture to culture, nation to nation, or from one person to another. Truth will survive no matter what the wicked may do to suppress it, change it, modify it, in order to suit their agenda and lifestyle. Truth has a Name. You called Yourself the Way, the Truth, and the Life. If we follow the Way in the Truth that You have revealed we are assured of sharing in the Life of God eternally in the Kingdom of heaven.
