The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity - Reflection

DAILY HOLY MASS READINGS

Glory to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit;
to God who is, who was, and who is to come. Rev 1:8

Proverbs 8:22-31, Psalm 8:4-9, Romans 5:1-5,
John 16:12-15

Proverbs 8:22-31

My Love, Beloved of my soul,

The God who is from all eternity was eternal in the Father, in the Son, and in the Holy Spirit. Before anything ever was God is.

Today, the Church celebrates this Trinitarian aspect of God. One in love eternally. One God although Three Divine Persons.

The absolute perfection, majesty, goodness, generosity, and wonder of this awesome Love is that God decided to create us. And He not only creates us but He lavishes upon us every grace, joy, and blessing. He has given us a share in Your life while we are here on earth through the indwelling of His Spirit but the hope of a share in Your Kingdom in eternity.

How can we fail to praise You, rejoice in You, and be filled with thanksgiving for all the Father has done for us in You and through the power of the Holy Spirit?

Psalm 8:4-9

O Lord, our God, how wonderful your name in all the earth!
When I behold your heavens, the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars which you set in place —
What is man that you should be mindful of him,
or the son of man that you should care for him?

You have made him little less than the angels,
and crowned him with glory and honor.
You have given him rule over the works of your hands,
putting all things under his feet:

All sheep and oxen,
yes, and the beasts of the field,
The birds of the air, the fishes of the sea,
and whatever swims the paths of the seas.

Romans 5:1-5

My Love, Beloved of my soul,

Without faith in You, we can never please our Father in heaven. It is His will that all His creatures render You glory. Faith is His gift to us so that we believe in Him and the One whom He sent to become the means by which all who believe in You are saved.

Without faith in You, we have no hope this is why so many in the world are in despair because they have never known You and no one has told them about You.

It is only when we know our Story that we can gain strength from the power of the Good News that saves us. The Cross is the only path by which we can make sense of sin, evil, sickness, and death. Suffering strengthens, chastens, purifies, builds endurance and increases virtue and all this is possible through grace that is poured into us by the Holy Spirit in the Sacraments.

Thank You, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. All glory to You now and forever. Amen.

John 16:12-15

My Love, Beloved of my soul,

We see how different the Apostles were after Pentecost. They were new men, unrecognizable from the men they once were. They were filled with power. There were men of towering faith. They spoke boldly and with confidence. They understood the meaning of Scripture and its context with regard to the events that occurred and how You were the fulfillment of every prophecy ever made. In You, the Covenant of God was fulfilled. You were and are the Yes and the Amen of God.

We have received the same Spirit that enables us cry, 'Abba' we are sons and daughters of God and we are Your brothers and sisters. We are a people of hope for we know that death is only a door and You are the Gate through which we enter eternal life in heaven.
