Tuesday of the Second Week of Easter
The Son of Man must be lifted up,
so that everyone who believes in him
may have eternal life. John 3:14-15

My Love, Beloved of my soul,
The way the first community of believer lived is the ideal. The more we are attached to things and to people the more difficult it is to live detached from them. Those who are consecrated to You as priests and religious take vows to live as the early Church did.
However, Beloved, we can still be generous with what we have in sharing it with those less fortunate than ourselves. Too often we are afraid to give because we fear that we may not have enough to meet our own needs yet we know this is not true. When we have open hands and a great heart You will ensure that we will not be in want. It takes faith and courage to live with a childlike spirit.
