DAILY HOLY MASS READINGS
The Kingdom of God is at hand;
repent and believe in the Gospel. Mk 1:15
Hebrews 12:18-19, 21-24, Psalm 48:2-4, 9-11,
Mark 6:7-13
Hebrews 12:18-19, 21-24
My Love, Beloved of my soul,
How wonderful it is to know that when all God's come together to celebrate the Holy Eucharist we are actually taking part in the heavenly Liturgy. Heaven and earth are one as together we offer to the Father the one, holy, and perfect Sacrifice which alone has the power to take away the sins of the whole world. The source and summit of our worship and the source of all that is good, true, holy, pure, and beautiful.
The God of the Old Covenant struck fear and trembling in the hearts of all those who heard Him but in the New Covenant our God has revealed His Face in You as Love and Mercy.
No, you have approached Mount Zion
and the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem,
and countless angels in festal gathering,
and the assembly of the firstborn enrolled in heaven,
and God the judge of all,
and the spirits of the just made perfect,
and Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant,
and the sprinkled Blood that speaks more eloquently
than that of Abel.
Psalm 48:2-4, 9-11
My Love, Beloved of my soul,
We are truly blessed to have been baptized into the faith because our parents were Catholic. It was a gift that was bestowed on us by the goodness, mercy, and providence of a loving Father.
Thank You, Father, for the Gift of Your Son, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Thank You for commanding us to come together every Sunday to celebrate the greatest Gift of all in praise, worship, adoration, and to feast at the Banquet of Love.
Thank You for the promise we hold fast that someday we shall all feast together at the eternal Banquet where the celebrations will never end. Thank You for the privilege of having a foretaste here on earth of the eternal joys of heaven.
Mark 6:7-13
My Love, Beloved of my soul,
It is so hard to trust Providence and yet, we know that when we have faith You will do just what You have said You will.
When You sent out the twelve two by two with authority and power, You also instructed them to take no money, no extra clothes - in short, they were to travel light.
You also told them how they were to behave. They had to stay where they were made welcome, and eat what was provided. Those who welcomed You would be blessed.
How wonderfully encouraged they would have been to see the power of God working through them as they preached repentance, cast out many evil spirits and anointed the sick with oil and healed them.
Thank You for the Church Your founded that continues to work miracles to this day in Your Name and will do so until You return.
