Let the clouds rain down the Just One,
and the earth bring forth a Savior. Is 45:8

Isaiah 41:13-20, Psalm 141:1, 9-13, Matthew 11:11-15

Isaiah 41:13-20

My Love, Beloved of my soul,

Once again in the Liturgy, You say, "Fear not, I will help you." Although I am nothing, and less than nothing You assure me that You, my Redeemer, will help me. You will use me for Your glory.

It is the poor, the needy, the forgotten, the weary, the lost, the sick, that move Your heart. You pledge to seek and save those who are hungry and thirsty. You will not forsake those who have been sealed in the Blood of the Lamb but You Yourself will become their food and drink. You will make a way where there was none. You will ensure plenty in barren lands, and rivers of streaming water in the desert. All this You will do for Your people, for Your Church, and for me.

Psalm 141:1, 9-13

My Love, Beloved of my soul,

You are my God, my King, my Lord, my Savior and I will praise and bless You all the days of my life. Thank You for Your goodness, Your mercy, and Your great love. Thank You for Your faithfulness day after day. Thank You for never forsaking me and for being my help.

Together with all creation my voice extols You and acknowledges that it is You who sustain, uphold, and give life through the power of the Eternal Word.

As long as I have breath in my body, grant O Holy Spirit of God that I may always witness to the love of my God.

Matthew 11:11-15

My Love, Beloved of my soul,

Here is something to ponder upon - You say that among all those born of women there has been none greater than John the Baptist, the forerunner who prepared the way for You and in the very next sentence You say that whoever is the least in the Kingdom of heaven is greater than he.

John was the last of the prophets and he not only prepared the way by preaching a baptism of repentance but he also pointed You out as the Lamb of God. John was all fire and brimstone and pronounced judgment on sinners. You, on the other hand, came to preach a Gospel of love, of mercy, of gentleness, of forgiveness, of removing barriers between people and reminding us that we are our brothers' and sisters' keepers. It is possible to have wrong notions of the Kingdom of God this is why You say, that we have to listen in order to hear and understand.
