DAILY HOLY MASS READINGS

Open our hearts, O Lord,

Galatians 3:1-5

My Love, Beloved of my soul,

Faith in You is the most precious gift that any human being can receive. It is given by God to whoever He chooses. Faith comes from hearing God's Word and the power of the Spirit that enables us to receive it and to believe.

People would like to believe that if we follow a set of rules faithfully that those laws or rules will save us but that is a lie. No law can save us except the Law of Love and belief in the God of Love who sent You into the world to reveal that love to us.

Luke 1:69-75

My Love, Beloved of my soul,

God chose Abraham and through him, God formed a people for Himself. From them, God would continue to choose individuals to bring about His wonderful plan of salvation. God chose to do it in time, over many generations working with human beings and through their stubbornness, weakness, foolishness, sinfulness, until finally, the plan of God rested on a young girl. Fashioned with exquisite care, sinless from the moment of her conception, she was to give birth to the Son of God, and He would redeem the world.

Every promise made by the Most High, every Covenant made with His people, every prophecy ever uttered by holy men and women from generation to generation would be fulfilled. God would send His Son and we would be purchased at the cost of His Life, and we would be saved.

The God of mercy, goodness, faithfulness, and love found a way to heal forever and bridge the chasm created by sin and evil. Thank You, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. May You be praised now and forever.
Luke 11:5-13

My Love, Beloved of my soul,

Thank You for teaching us to be persistent in prayer and not to give up so easily and become disheartened if our prayers are not answered as swiftly as we would like. You are in control and You do all things well. It is good to wait patiently on You trusting all the while that all we ask for in faith You will grant.

"And I tell you, ask and you will receive;
seek and you will find;
knock and the door will be opened to you.
For everyone who asks, receives;
and the one who seeks, finds;
and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.
What father among you would hand his son a snake
when he asks for a fish?
Or hand him a scorpion when he asks for an egg?
If you then, who are wicked,
know how to give good gifts to your children,
how much more will the Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit
to those who ask him?"

Thank You Heavenly Father for revealing to us through Jesus, Your Son, that You will deny Your children nothing and the Gift of the Holy Spirit will be given to all who ask.
