DAILY HOLY MASS READINGS
I give you a new commandment:
love one another as I have loved you. Jn 13:34
Galatians 1:6-12, Psalm 111:1-2, 7-10, Luke 10:25-37
Galatians 1:6-12
My Love, Beloved of my soul,
Keep me faithful and if it is Your will, make a way for me to do the work that You desire me to do. There is no way for me to know if this is my own imagination; the only way to know for certain is if you lead the way and open the doors to make it possible. I yield myself completely into your holy hands. If I am mistaken Beloved, then so be it. You will lead me where You desire me to serve You. All I ask my Lord is that I may be open to the Holy Spirit's prompting. Thank You.
Psalm 111:1-2, 7-10
My Love, Beloved of my soul,
He answered, "The one who treated him with mercy."

Psalm 111:1-2, 7-10
My Love, Beloved of my soul,
It is right that I give You thanks always and everywhere with all the fervor of my soul. You are truly great, and awesome. All that You do is delightful and even when we do not understand of one thing we can be quite certain, all things work for good for those who love You and those who are called according to Your plan, will, and purpose.
I thank You for delivering me from my sins. I thank You for Your wondrous love and care for me. Grant that I strive with all my heart never to deliberately sin. Keep me safe in Your Sacred Heart and hide me there forever.
Luke 10:25-37
My Love, Beloved of my soul,
Luke 10:25-37
My Love, Beloved of my soul,
It is only those with a childlike spirit who can see and understand that which is impossible for the worldlywise to see. Here we have a scholar of the law who wanted to put God to the test so he asked You two questions. He knew the answer to the first and so because he felt stupid before the crowd he asked the second. You could have squashed him like a bug with Your response because You knew what he was up to You, instead You chose to to dialogue with him and use it as a teaching moment;
In response to the first question, "Teacher what must I do to inherit eternal life?" You posed another question, "What is written in the law? How do you read it?" He replied rightly,
"You shall love the Lord, your God,
with all your heart,
with all your being,
with all your strength,
and with all your mind,
and your neighbor as yourself."
with all your being,
with all your strength,
and with all your mind,
and your neighbor as yourself."
In response to the second question, You taught us how we can be a neighbor to those in need.
The beauty of any parable is that there can be several ways of looking at it. In this parable we have several characters there is the traveler, the robbers, the priest, the Levite, the Samaritan, and the innkeeper.
We can see You as the traveler who was beaten up by robbers and left for dead. We can see You in the Samaritan who picked up the stranger and cared for him thus leaving us an example to do likewise. We are the innkeeper who are charged to show kindness to the stranger, the sick, the poor, and any good we render to them will be rewarded by God in double measure.
You asked the scholar once again, "Which of these three, in your opinion, was neighbor to the robbers' victim?"
He answered, "The one who treated him with mercy."
And finally addressing us who are just like the scholar in this passage You command us to, "Go and do likewise."
