1 Corinthians 4:1-5

My Love, Beloved of my soul,

This is a time of great confusion in the Church, Your Bride. Scandal is rocking the bark of St. Peter from the very top and many think the right thing to do is to abandon ship. In fact, that is what many are doing if what is reported is to be believed.

Today, St. Paul says that all who are consecrated in Your service are stewards of the mysteries of God. It sickens me to the stomach to think that some of Your chosen ones have celebrated the Eucharist for decades with unclean hands, unclean hearts, and unclean lips. I know Beloved that the Eucharist loses nothing of its power for it is not dependant on the morality of the one celebrating the Eucharist, however, they have brought grave dishonor upon themselves. Those who are good are tainted along with the wicked and all the members of Your Body are wounded.

St. Paul also assures us that judgment will come and there will be a divine retribution for God is not asleep and You will love and protect Your Bride until the end of time.

Psalm 37:3-6, 27-28, 39-40

My Love, Beloved of my soul,

We belong to You. It is enough to know this truth and to live in tranquility despite the storm and the wind. No harm will come to those who put their hope and trust in You. This is the time to have faith in Your Word. Not to put our trust in princes, in men or in institutions but in You and Your Word for it is unchangeable, the same yesterday, today, and forever.

We will walk in the Way that You have walked. We will believe wholeheartedly in the Truth You have revealed. And we will be strengthened and nourished by the Life we receive through the Sacraments You have instituted. Salvation comes from You alone.

We sing out with joy the words of the psalmist,

Commit to the LORD your way;
trust in him, and he will act.
He will make justice dawn for you like the light;
bright as the noonday shall be your vindication.

For the LORD loves what is right,
and forsakes not his faithful ones.
Criminals are destroyed
and the posterity of the wicked is cut off.

The wicked will be held accountable no matter how powerful they think they are or how skillfully they lie. Deliverance will come to Your Church Lord because it is Your Church.

Luke 5:33-39

My Love, Beloved of my soul,

You came into the world and You have made all things new. Those who are stuck in the past, those who think that the old ways are the best ways and who make no room for the Light and the Truth that come from the Gospel have no Life. Life comes only from You.

The Pharisees and the disciples of John the Baptist followed the Law of Moses and believed themselves to be better than everyone else because they were sticklers in keeping the letter of the law.

But now the Bridegroom is present in their midst and it was right for Your disciples to rejoice in Your Presence. They had God with them. They walked with God, talked to God, ate with God, listened to God, were taught by God, slept with God, were loved by God - the Live in God's Presence. It was the time to enjoy the experience of being with You to the fullest. The time would come Beloved when You would no longer be with them. In profound grief, sadness, and loss they would fast. But not now.

At every Eucharistic celebration, we are at the Wedding Feast. The Bridegroom is with us and we rejoice. Without the Eucharist Beloved, the Church would not survive. She would wither and die without that profound union with her Bridegroom. The old wine was good for its time but the New is so much better. We who taste it every day desire to drink it always. Thank You until we drink it anew with You in the Kingdom.
