Hosea 10:1-3, 7-8, 12, Psalm 105:2-7, Mark 10:1-7

Hosea 10:1-3, 7-8, 12

My Love, Beloved of my soul,

Those whom You have called by name, those whom You have chosen to be your own when they reject You then the consequences of that rejection will indeed be grave.

What have You not done for us? What more could the Father do to reveal to us His unfathomable love? Nothing. He did it all through You and yet the world that has made such amazing strides in every walk of life has distanced itself from You, their Creator, Redeemer, and Lord.

Grant us the grace to return back to You Beloved lest we fall by the wayside and perish. Have mercy O Lord. Give Your faithful remnant a greater sense of urgency to labor more diligently and faithfully to bring in the harvest.

Psalm 105:2-7

My Love, Beloved of my soul,

How privileged we are to be able to seek Your Face and gaze on it whenever we like. You are present in our adoration chapels. You come into our hearts in the Holy Eucharist. The psalmist writes about seeking Your Face always but they have not experienced You as we have.

God who was hidden in impenetrable Light has made Himself visible in You. He sent You into the world so we could know Him and experience His awesome love for His creatures in all You said and did and most importantly in laying down Your life for us in order that we may enter Your Life as You entered into our death.

Thank You for the strength we receive in the Holy Eucharist as we feed on Your Body and Your Blood. Grant my Beloved that I may never take for granted all the God has done for me.
Mark 10:1-7

My Love, Beloved of my soul,

A little more than two thousand years ago You chose and appointed the Twelve. You instructed and empowered them and You sent them. They, in turn, have laid hands on their successors in every age and those instructions and that power have been passed on unbroken. This is why the fullness of grace, power, truth, life, remains in the bosom of Holy Mother Church. The Church You Yourself founded on the Twelve.

The first Twelve were called by name and appointed after a night of vigil and prayer with Your Father. You did nothing, You said nothing unless it was that which Your Father wanted You to do or say.

Ever since our first Pope, Peter the fisherman, we have had Your anointed Vicar to be our spiritual father and guide and with the rest of the Apostles to steer Your Bark through every storm safely to harbor.

We fear no evil for You have given us divine assurance that the gates of hell will not prevail against her. Satan is trying very hard Beloved but we know that although it may not seem like it, he has lost the battle even before it had begun. For from the very beginning God intended to save the world through You, His Son, our Lord, our God, our Rock, our Refuge, our Hope, our Life, our Love, and thus bring us home in the end to the Kingdom of Heaven where we will live and reign with You forever. Amen.
