John 16:12-15

Acts 17:15, 22---18-1

Dear Love, Beloved of my soul,

We see in the life of Paul that he trusted in the Holy Spirit and all his successes as an evangelist and preacher were the work of the Spirit to whom he had yielded with total surrender. He was never alone but had companions and together they worked for the Kingdom. It is a reminder to us as well that we must walk with the Church and guided by her we can be sure that we will not go astray or lead others astray.

Paul was able to find common ground from the culture around him and so it must be with us as well. There is much that we can appreciate in other faiths and we can use it as a starting point when we evangelize just as Paul did. From what the Greeks knew already, though vaguely, Paul was able to make them see that they already knew the One, True God. With words given to him from above, he was able to speak powerfully and draw many to believe in You and thus be saved. We are not called to attack those whose beliefs are different from ours but we are called to witness, with the help of the Holy Spirit, to the Truth that saves, the work of conversion of heart belongs to You.

Psalm 148:1-2, 11-14

Dear Love, Beloved of my soul,

God has created us in order that we might praise Him along with the rest of creation. He is good and worthy of praise. With every breath we breathe, praise is due to our God for He alone is worthy.  Rulers of nations, those with power, authority, wealth, and influence have been given all these in order to serve God and to serve His people and not for personal glory or gain. Everyone from the greatest to the least is called to give God the glory, honor, praise, adoration, and worship, in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass which is the only praise that pleasing and acceptable to the Father.

John 16:12-15

Dear Love, Beloved of my soul,

Thank you for the Holy Spirit who is the Father's Gift to us once You returned to take Your place at the right hand of God. Without Him, we can do nothing that pleases our Father. We can understand nothing, we can have no faith and no life of grace without the indwelling of Your Spirit who is the source of all good.

Thank You, Beloved, for instituting the Sacraments through which grace upon grace is channeled into our souls making it possible to live in union with You and the Father through Him.

May I do nothing to sadden the Holy Spirit rather, may I yield in all things to His influence and guidance. Amen.

Jesus said to his disciples:
"I have much more to tell you, but you cannot bear it now.
But when he comes, the Spirit of truth,
he will guide you to all truth.
He will not speak on his own,
but he will speak what he hears,
and will declare to you the things that are coming.
He will glorify me,
because he will take from what is mine and declare it to you.
Everything that the Father has is mine;
for this reason I told you that he will take from what is mine

and declare it to you."
