Acts 4:32-35

Dear Love, Beloved of my soul,

If all Catholics lived as the early Christians did then we would be a great witness to the world of a true and authentic love of neighbor.  When we love You as we ought and we allow the Holy Spirit to prompt all our actions we will live in harmony and peace with each other. Love will be the principle of our lives.

There is no greater miracle than this Beloved that You died and rose again from the dead. This is our hope. All our todays will eventually to an end and we will have to come to judgment. We will be judged by how we have loved both God and neighbor.  If all Catholics lived as the early Christians did then we would be a great witness to the world of a true and authentic love of neighbor.  When we love You as we ought and we allow the Holy Spirit to prompt all our actions, we will live in harmony and peace with each other. Love will be the guiding principle of our lives. The greater our love the more clearly we will see that our material blessings are given to us so we may share what we have with others and like the early Christians, no one will be in want.

Psalm 118:2-4, 13-15, 22-24

Dear Love, Beloved of my soul,

Today the Church celebrates 'Divine Mercy Sunday'. It is a feast that was introduced at Your command into the Church's calendar by St. John Paul II.

You desire Beloved that we always have Your mercy before us so we may never be afraid no matter if our sins be as scarlet for You will wash them whiter than snow. Mercy is the hallmark of God as You revealed so beautifully in the Parable of the Prodigal Son. And we are called to show that same mercy to one another. We do not show mercy because the other is deserving of it but we show mercy precisely when mercy is undeserving. This is the great quality of mercy because it is prompted always by love.

Beloved, the Father's whole purpose of sending You into the world, was to reveal to us the extent of His love and mercy. For while we were yet sinners the Father sent You to become the means by which we are all saved. You came to save the very world that rejected, denied, and crucified You. This is mercy. The kind of mercy that endures not for an hour or a day, but forever.

1 John 5:1-6

Dear Love, Beloved of my soul,

It is the disciple of love, John the Evangelist and Apostle, who, inspired by the Holy Spirit, reveals to us the extent of the Father's love first for us who love You and who believe that He sent You. We cannot say we love God and disobey His commandments. A true disciple keeps the commandments because love demands that we do so. When we obey prompted by love, then as the evangelist points out, it is not burdensome to always strive to please You in all things.

Thank You, Beloved, that through Your triumphant victory over death we too are victorious for death no longer is the enemy. It is vanquished. Thank You for the waters of Baptism, thank You for the Holy Eucharist, thank You for the Holy Spirit who enables us to love and who leads us to the Truth about our faith which is Your free gift to us at Baptism. It is by faith that we believe, it is in faith that we live, and it is faith in You that will lead us to eternal life with You.

John 20:19-31
