Genesis 1:1----2:2
Dear Love, Beloved of my soul,
The story of creation tells us that the Father, the Word, and the Spirit, the Triune God, in concert, created the universe and all in it. The Spirit of God hovered over the water, God spoke His Eternal Word and all that is came to be.
For 5 days God created all that was needful for His final masterpiece, setting the stage in readiness, and then on the 6th day He said,
"Let us make man in our image, after our likeness."
He gave man dominion over all creation, blessed them saying:
"Be fertile and multiply;
fill the earth and subdue it.
Have dominion over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air,
and all the living things that move on the earth."
God looked at everything He had made and declared that He found it very good. By day 7 God had finished the world He had begun, it was complete, it was perfect, there was no more to be done and so He rested from the work.
Thank You Beloved, Father, and Holy Spirit for creating me, for the life You planned for me, and for the eternal destiny with You that is waiting for me when my days here are done.
Psalm 104:1-2, 5-6, 10, 12-14, 24, 35
Dear Love, Beloved of my soul,
The Psalmist reminds us that the world created by You, is lovingly watched over by You as well. Nothing that ever happens, even natural calamities is not known to You. You are always in control and this is why no matter how difficult it is may be for us to always understand Your ways, we can trust You completely. May my soul bless You Beloved all the days of my life.
Genesis 22:1-18
Dear Love, Beloved of my soul,
We are tested as well. Every now and then in life we face great trials; Abraham, our father in faith gives us an example of how we are to face them.
The first thing to remember is that it is God who tests us as we read here, "God put Abraham to the test." Each time You call Beloved may my response be like his, "Here I am."
When God commanded Abraham to sacrifice his only son, whom God knew he loved very much his response was one of total surrender. One can only imagine how Abraham passed that night before the sacrifice. It was only one night and a day before God stayed his hand. Our Father, in contrast, agonized about the Sacrifice of His only Son, His Beloved Son, from the moment Adam and Eve sinned and the Father did not withhold You from it even though it broke His Heart when You cried out in agony in the Garden of Gethsemane to let the cup of suffering pass You by but You added, not My will but Thine. You knew that it had to be so. That terrible price had to be paid if Your Father's, other adopted children miserable, pitiful and sinful were to be saved. Just as Isaac carried the wood for the holocaust, You carried the Cross, Just as Abraham carried the fire and knife, so did Your Father carry the Fire of Suffering that would purge the world, and His Will would be the Knife that pierced Your Heart and thereby letting the Water and Blood gush forth as a fountain of mercy for us.
The Father stayed Abraham's hand, He did not stay His own. The Lamb of Sacrifice was offered in atonement for the sins of the whole world.
Now the Covenant that the Lord our God had sworn by Himself because He did not withhold His only Beloved Son, not only has it pleased Him immensely to raise You high above every other but to give You a Name that is more powerful than any other name. In Your Name Beloved, and by Your Sacrifice the Father now has sons and daughters, "As
as countless as the stars of the sky and the sands of the seashore." We are the descendants of the new Adam and the new Eve because You obeyed Your Father's command.
Thank You.
Psalm 16:5, 8-11,
Dear Love, Beloved of my soul,
You belong to the Father, and we belong to the Father because we are one in You.
The psalmist David, knew that God's mighty hand of protection was over him because he was beloved of God. Yet David was only a foreshadow of the true David. You knew what obedience to Your Father would cost You and yet You did not hesitate to obey Him. Because of this the Lord has given You a place at His right hand for all eternity.
David wrote, "Therefore my heart is glad and my soul rejoices, my body, too, abides in confidence;
because you will not abandon my soul to the netherworld,
nor will you suffer your faithful one to undergo corruption."
However, just as You reminded the Pharisees David's soul did go to the netherworld and his body did undergo corruption. So it is clear that this verse cannot be attributed to him but to You, the Son of God. The grave could not hold You. On the third day You rose in glory never to die again and to give us hope that death cannot hold us as well. We are Your inheritance forever.
Exodus 14:15---15:1
Dear Love, Beloved of my soul,
The experience of the Israelites ought to be the common experience of every baptized Catholic Christian. When the enemy pursues us and we seem trapped all we need to do is put our trust in You and You will make haste to help us.
You destroyed the Enemy forever. He is crushed. He is vanquished. He is powerless. He is Liar. He makes us believe he has power but in truth he has none.
You have put angels in charge of us. And one special angel is ours completely, our Guardian Angel has been entrusted to watch over us night and day until our life on earth comes to an end. The Israelites has the cloud by day and the fire by night between them and the enemy to remind them that God was was present. We have Your abiding Presence in the Holy Eucharist, in our tabernacles, in our Adoration Chapels and most especially, in our soul when we receive You in Holy Communion. Who could ask for more. Heaven is already with us and in us.
In the midst of calamity and deep distress You will stay steadfast with us and enable us to march on dry land. We are victorious in You in every situation no matter how devastating it may appear to be and perhaps is. We believe Beloved and may our songs of praise and rejoicing fill our hearts and spill forth from our lips always.
Exodus 15:1-6, 17-18
Dear Love, Beloved of my soul,
God who is Your Father, and our Father has covered You in glory. You have struck a mighty blow to the Enemy and he has been vanquished like the Egyptian army. Horse, rider, and chariot are routed. We praise You, we bless You, we extol You Father for what You have accomplished through Your Beloved Son, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, my dear Love and the Beloved of my soul.
Who is at the right hand of the Father? YOU ARE THE RIGHT HAND OF GOD!! My Lord and Savior.
Father God, "Your right hand, O LORD, magnificent in power, your right hand, O LORD, has shattered the enemy."
Beloved, we are redeemed by You, we are planted on God's Holy Mountain by You because we are grafted into Your Body. Your inheritance is our inheritance as well for it pleases the Father and You to share Your inheritance of the Kingdom with us. Your reign is everlasting.
Let us sing to the Lord; he has covered himself in glory.
Isaiah 54:5-14
The One who has become your husband is your Maker;
his name is the LORD of hosts;
your redeemer is the Holy One of Israel,
called God of all the earth.
The LORD calls you back,
like a wife forsaken and grieved in spirit,
a wife married in youth and then cast off,
says your God.
For a brief moment I abandoned you,
but with great tenderness I will take you back.
In an outburst of wrath, for a moment
I hid my face from you;
but with enduring love I take pity on you,
says the LORD, your redeemer.
This is for me like the days of Noah,
when I swore that the waters of Noah
should never again deluge the earth;
so I have sworn not to be angry with you,
or to rebuke you.
Though the mountains leave their place
and the hills be shaken,
my love shall never leave you
nor my covenant of peace be shaken,
says the LORD, who has mercy on you.
O afflicted one, storm-battered and unconsoled,
I lay your pavements in carnelians,
and your foundations in sapphires;
I will make your battlements of rubies,
your gates of carbuncles,
and all your walls of precious stones.
All your children shall be taught by the LORD,
and great shall be the peace of your children.
In justice shall you be established,
far from the fear of oppression,
where destruction cannot come near you.
Psalm 30:2, 4-6, 11-13
I will praise you, Lord, for you have rescued me.
I will extol you, O LORD, for you drew me clear
and did not let my enemies rejoice over me.
O LORD, you brought me up from the netherworld;
you preserved me from among those going down into the pit.
R. I will praise you, Lord, for you have rescued me.
Sing praise to the LORD, you his faithful ones,
and give thanks to his holy name.
For his anger lasts but a moment;
a lifetime, his good will.
At nightfall, weeping enters in,
but with the dawn, rejoicing.
R. I will praise you, Lord, for you have rescued me.
Hear, O LORD, and have pity on me;
O LORD, be my helper.
You changed my mourning into dancing;
O LORD, my God, forever will I give you thanks.
R. I will praise you, Lord, for you have rescued me.
Isaiah 55:1-11
Thus says the LORD:
All you who are thirsty,
come to the water!
You who have no money,
come, receive grain and eat;
come, without paying and without cost,
drink wine and milk!
Why spend your money for what is not bread,
your wages for what fails to satisfy?
Heed me, and you shall eat well,
you shall delight in rich fare.
Come to me heedfully,
listen, that you may have life.
I will renew with you the everlasting covenant,
the benefits assured to David.
As I made him a witness to the peoples,
a leader and commander of nations,
so shall you summon a nation you knew not,
and nations that knew you not shall run to you,
because of the LORD, your God,
the Holy One of Israel, who has glorified you.
Seek the LORD while he may be found,
call him while he is near.
Let the scoundrel forsake his way,
and the wicked man his thoughts;
let him turn to the LORD for mercy;
to our God, who is generous in forgiving.
For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
nor are your ways my ways, says the LORD.
As high as the heavens are above the earth,
so high are my ways above your ways
and my thoughts above your thoughts.
For just as from the heavens
the rain and snow come down
and do not return there
till they have watered the earth,
making it fertile and fruitful,
giving seed to the one who sows
and bread to the one who eats,
so shall my word be
that goes forth from my mouth;
my word shall not return to me void,
but shall do my will,
achieving the end for which I sent it.
Isaiah 12:2-6
You will draw water joyfully from the springs of salvation.
God indeed is my savior;
I am confident and unafraid.
My strength and my courage is the LORD,
and he has been my savior.
With joy you will draw water
at the fountain of salvation.
R. You will draw water joyfully from the springs of salvation.
Give thanks to the LORD, acclaim his name;
among the nations make known his deeds,
proclaim how exalted is his name.
R. You will draw water joyfully from the springs of salvation.
Sing praise to the LORD for his glorious achievement;
let this be known throughout all the earth.
Shout with exultation, O city of Zion,
for great in your midst
is the Holy One of Israel!
R. You will draw water joyfully from the springs of salvation.
Baruch 3:9, 15, 32:C4:4
Hear, O Israel, the commandments of life:
listen, and know prudence!
How is it, Israel,
that you are in the land of your foes,
grown old in a foreign land,
defiled with the dead,
accounted with those destined for the netherworld?
You have forsaken the fountain of wisdom!
Had you walked in the way of God,
you would have dwelt in enduring peace.
Learn where prudence is,
where strength, where understanding;
that you may know also
where are length of days, and life,
where light of the eyes, and peace.
Who has found the place of wisdom,
who has entered into her treasuries?
The One who knows all things knows her;
he has probed her by his knowledge—
The One who established the earth for all time,
and filled it with four-footed beasts;
he who dismisses the light, and it departs,
calls it, and it obeys him trembling;
before whom the stars at their posts
shine and rejoice;
when he calls them, they answer, "Here we are!"
shining with joy for their Maker.
Such is our God;
no other is to be compared to him:
He has traced out the whole way of understanding,
and has given her to Jacob, his servant,
to Israel, his beloved son.
Since then she has appeared on earth,
and moved among people.
She is the book of the precepts of God,
the law that endures forever;
all who cling to her will live,
but those will die who forsake her.
Turn, O Jacob, and receive her:
walk by her light toward splendor.
Give not your glory to another,
your privileges to an alien race.
Blessed are we, O Israel;
for what pleases God is known to us!
Psalm 19:8-11
Lord, you have the words of everlasting life.
The law of the LORD is perfect,
refreshing the soul;
the decree of the LORD is trustworthy,
giving wisdom to the simple.
R. Lord, you have the words of everlasting life.
The precepts of the LORD are right,
rejoicing the heart;
the command of the LORD is clear,
enlightening the eye.
R. Lord, you have the words of everlasting life.
The fear of the LORD is pure,
enduring forever;
the ordinances of the LORD are true,
all of them just.
R. Lord, you have the words of everlasting life.
They are more precious than gold,
than a heap of purest gold;
sweeter also than syrup
or honey from the comb.
R. Lord, you have the words of everlasting life.
Ezra 36:16-17A, 18-28

Psalm 51:12-15, 18-19
Create a clean heart in me, O God.
A clean heart create for me, O God,
and a steadfast spirit renew within me.
Cast me not out from your presence,
and your Holy Spirit take not from me.
R. Create a clean heart in me, O God.
Give me back the joy of your salvation,
and a willing spirit sustain in me.
I will teach transgressors your ways,
and sinners shall return to you.
R. Create a clean heart in me, O God.
For you are not pleased with sacrifices;
should I offer a holocaust, you would not accept it.
My sacrifice, O God, is a contrite spirit;
a heart contrite and humbled, O God, you will not spurn.
R. Create a clean heart in me, O God.
Romans 6:3-11
Brothers and sisters:
Are you unaware that we who were baptized into Christ Jesus
were baptized into his death?
We were indeed buried with him through baptism into death,
so that, just as Christ was raised from the dead
by the glory of the Father,
we too might live in newness of life.
For if we have grown into union with him through a death like his,
we shall also be united with him in the resurrection.
We know that our old self was crucified with him,
so that our sinful body might be done away with,
that we might no longer be in slavery to sin.
For a dead person has been absolved from sin.
If, then, we have died with Christ,
we believe that we shall also live with him.
We know that Christ, raised from the dead, dies no more;
death no longer has power over him.
As to his death, he died to sin once and for all;
as to his life, he lives for God.
Consequently, you too must think of yourselves as being dead to sin
and living for God in Christ Jesus.
Psalm 118:1-2, 16-17, 22-23
Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia.
Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good,
for his mercy endures forever.
Let the house of Israel say,
"His mercy endures forever."
R. Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia.
The right hand of the LORD has struck with power;
the right hand of the LORD is exalted.
I shall not die, but live,
and declare the works of the LORD.
R. Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia.
The stone the builders rejected
has become the cornerstone.
By the LORD has this been done;
it is wonderful in our eyes.
R. Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia.
Mark 16:1-7
When the sabbath was over,
Mary Magdalene, Mary, the mother of James, and Salome
bought spices so that they might go and anoint him.
Very early when the sun had risen,
on the first day of the week, they came to the tomb.
They were saying to one another,
"Who will roll back the stone for us
from the entrance to the tomb?"
When they looked up,
they saw that the stone had been rolled back;
it was very large.
On entering the tomb they saw a young man
sitting on the right side, clothed in a white robe,
and they were utterly amazed.
He said to them, "Do not be amazed!
You seek Jesus of Nazareth, the crucified.
He has been raised; he is not here.
Behold the place where they laid him.
But go and tell his disciples and Peter,
'He is going before you to Galilee;
there you will see him, as he told you.'"

R. You will draw water joyfully from the springs of salvation.
Give thanks to the LORD, acclaim his name;
among the nations make known his deeds,
proclaim how exalted is his name.
R. You will draw water joyfully from the springs of salvation.
Sing praise to the LORD for his glorious achievement;
let this be known throughout all the earth.
Shout with exultation, O city of Zion,
for great in your midst
is the Holy One of Israel!
R. You will draw water joyfully from the springs of salvation.
Baruch 3:9, 15, 32:C4:4
Hear, O Israel, the commandments of life:
listen, and know prudence!
How is it, Israel,
that you are in the land of your foes,
grown old in a foreign land,
defiled with the dead,
accounted with those destined for the netherworld?
You have forsaken the fountain of wisdom!
Had you walked in the way of God,
you would have dwelt in enduring peace.
Learn where prudence is,
where strength, where understanding;
that you may know also
where are length of days, and life,
where light of the eyes, and peace.
Who has found the place of wisdom,
who has entered into her treasuries?
The One who knows all things knows her;
he has probed her by his knowledge—
The One who established the earth for all time,
and filled it with four-footed beasts;
he who dismisses the light, and it departs,
calls it, and it obeys him trembling;
before whom the stars at their posts
shine and rejoice;
when he calls them, they answer, "Here we are!"
shining with joy for their Maker.
Such is our God;
no other is to be compared to him:
He has traced out the whole way of understanding,
and has given her to Jacob, his servant,
to Israel, his beloved son.
Since then she has appeared on earth,
and moved among people.
She is the book of the precepts of God,
the law that endures forever;
all who cling to her will live,
but those will die who forsake her.
Turn, O Jacob, and receive her:
walk by her light toward splendor.
Give not your glory to another,
your privileges to an alien race.
Blessed are we, O Israel;
for what pleases God is known to us!
Psalm 19:8-11
Lord, you have the words of everlasting life.
The law of the LORD is perfect,
refreshing the soul;
the decree of the LORD is trustworthy,
giving wisdom to the simple.
R. Lord, you have the words of everlasting life.
The precepts of the LORD are right,
rejoicing the heart;
the command of the LORD is clear,
enlightening the eye.
R. Lord, you have the words of everlasting life.
The fear of the LORD is pure,
enduring forever;
the ordinances of the LORD are true,
all of them just.
R. Lord, you have the words of everlasting life.
They are more precious than gold,
than a heap of purest gold;
sweeter also than syrup
or honey from the comb.

For you are not pleased with sacrifices;
should I offer a holocaust, you would not accept it.
My sacrifice, O God, is a contrite spirit;
a heart contrite and humbled, O God, you will not spurn.
We know that Christ, raised from the dead, dies no more;
death no longer has power over him.
As to his death, he died to sin once and for all;
as to his life, he lives for God.
Consequently, you too must think of yourselves as being dead to sin
and living for God in Christ Jesus.
Psalm 118:1-2, 16-17, 22-23
Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia.
Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good,
for his mercy endures forever.
Let the house of Israel say,
"His mercy endures forever."
R. Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia.
The right hand of the LORD has struck with power;
the right hand of the LORD is exalted.
I shall not die, but live,
and declare the works of the LORD.
R. Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia.
The stone the builders rejected
has become the cornerstone.
By the LORD has this been done;
it is wonderful in our eyes.
R. Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia.
Mark 16:1-7
When the sabbath was over,
Mary Magdalene, Mary, the mother of James, and Salome
bought spices so that they might go and anoint him.
Very early when the sun had risen,
on the first day of the week, they came to the tomb.
They were saying to one another,
"Who will roll back the stone for us
from the entrance to the tomb?"
When they looked up,
they saw that the stone had been rolled back;
it was very large.
But go and tell his disciples and Peter,
'He is going before you to Galilee;
there you will see him, as he told you.'"
